This viewpoint will probably be recommended to you by every hostel, hotel and tour guide in the city as the perfect place to watch the sun set over Madrid. They’re right, go there! Around sunset it’s quite crowded but not unpleasantly so. Also as an added bonus there are several hawkers walking around to sell you cold cans of beer and bottles of water, so no need to carry these...

The area the lookout from is very long and spacious so quite a few people can look at the same time together. The view is quite nice as you can see nature related stuff, buildings, sometimes people, and you get a straight view of The Royal Palace. Definitely worth visitng when you’re in Madrid as you also get a 2 in 1 visit if you go to the Temple of...

The Lookout of the Principe Pío Mountain is a good place to check out if you want to see the expanse of the city of Madrid. It will give you a very good idea of how large the city is. Since the lookout point is within a city park, the views are not open. You have to peak through trees. Don't let that stop you...
