My family and I are originally from Sri Lanka but currently live in the USA. We were visiting SL and celebrating our wedding anniversary on Saturday January 7th so since we were staying in a beach resort close to Galle, we decided to attend Saturday evening mass. The mass was at 5:30pm on Saturday and we were not sure if it would be crowded or not so we arrived early and there was only us and one other family in the church. By the time Mass started, there a two more people who showed up so basically the church was 90% empty which was surprising to us. This was an English mass and the priest spoke perfect English, we had no issues understanding him. At the end of mass, my wife asked if he would be willing to bless us for our anniversary and he gave us a very nice blessing along with my family. He was in no hurry and spent the time to make sure our blessing was thorough and we really appreciated it. I would recommend this church to anyone who is looking to attend an English Catholic mass while in Galle. I cannot comment on masses in other languages because I did not attend any of those but based on the English mass I would assume all their masses are...
