If you are shopping and wanted to have a break in between, i suggest: buy some coffee and enjoy sipping it either in the benches of the square or the stairs of Gustav Adolf statue especially on a nice sunny weather day. Or if you are working in the area and just need to go out and stretch a bit, the square is enough for a quick brist walking, some fresh air and vitamin 🌞 on your face.

And usually they always have some lovely flowers according to the season. Like me who loves watching people passing by me, this is indeed a perfect place...

Die Statue von Gustav II. Adolf ist eine Bronzestatue von Bengt Erland Fogelberg , die 1854 in Gustaf Adolfs Torg im Zentrum von Göteborg errichtet wurde . Die Statue, Göteborgs ältestes öffentliches Kunstwerk, zeigt Gustav II. Adolf , der mit der rechten Hand auf den weit entfernten Platz zeigt und den beabsichtigten Anlass darstellt, zu dem der König hätte sagen sollen: "Hier sollte die Stadt liegen!" Und auf einem Symbol Plan stellt die Statue somit die Schaffung der Stadt Göteborg. Die Statue steht auf einem hohen Marmorsockel auf einem treppenförmigen Fundament aus Stein. Auf der Basis befindet sich die Inschrift: "

An König Gustaf Adolf, den Gründer des Großen Göteborgs der Stadtbewohner im Jahre 1849

" [ 1 ] .

It is a nice place to enjoy the essence of the Gothenburg city. In front of the square one of the canals flows which is connected to the sea. Tourist boats sail through the canal. There's a big statue of Gustav Adolf placed in the centre of the square. There are so many people sitting in the benches passed their time talking with friends or simply sit idle. Beautiful birds are chirping and jumping for food from...
