The inviting 70s aesthetic of Deg is quite refreshing, and so is the menu. A vegano with a white sauce and different types of toppings is a rare sight. Especially with a place that is inspired by Naples-style dough. However, the confusing QR-code ordering system that makes you chat with a bot on Messenger is a bit convoluted for something so simple. Also, serving the Tomat(o) pizza with vegan cheese was a surprise, as it was unclear from the ordering, but it was pleasantly not too much of it. And the Pizza Vegano had an interesting vibe of eating Flammkuchen, which is uncommon to say the least.
But in the end, the taste is not great. Oversalted sauces, overwhelming taste profiles and just a feeling of being sick after eating one pizza is just not a good sight. I get what they go for here, but I think less is more and being a bit more shy on the salt might do wonders.
The price is alright, the atmosphere is cool, but it’s not a great experience. It’s okay, but I wouldn’t come again. There are better places for good Naples-style pizza...
Read moreI have been travelling for three days in Gothenburg and one evening decided to go to this restaurant, not knowing much about it, just seeing the promising pictures. Once I got there I realized that it is more of a fancy restaurant and that my travelling look might not be that welcome there. I have waited several minutes for a staff member to come there so I can get seated, I did not have a booking, since I didn't know it was needed but managed to get a table nevertheless (this was nice). However, I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. Also I have noticed that someone from a higher position, who completely ignored me, welcomed in like 30seconds the new guests, greeting them with a big smile. The pizza, however, tasted amazing, it really is a special and delicious pizza. Sadly, the whole experience for me felt more like they don't consider me a proper human because I didn't look that "fancy and rich" compared to the rest...
Read moreHave been here many times and I’ve never been disappointed. The pizza, especially the Bianco ones are truly amazing. The cocktails are also very nice and interesting, not your standard drinks but always something exciting to try out.
I’m gluten intolerant and while I wouldn’t say the gluten free dough is something out of the ordinary(very happy that it exists though thank you very much) the toppings and combination of flavors are worth going for.
If I have to say anything negative I’m not a huge fan of the payment and order methods as it makes it difficult to take people to the restaurant. As soon as I mention the ordering through messenger/your phone people are immediately turned off which is a shame. Worth noting is that you can ask to order from staff and a menu but I don’t think they like when...
