One of the best if not the best botanical garden I've been to. The rose gardens are beautiful and with so many rose varieties (much more than I knew existed). There are many paths to get lost in (in a positive sense) and just wander around, and just the rose gardens could take you on a 2-hour walk to take it all in. The greenhouses are great, and have the most variety I've seen in a greenhouse complex so far. There are also plenty of spots to sit, and even some with tables (both standalone ones and as part of a restaurant), and both in rose gardens and other parts of the garden. You can also find sunbeds, or even pick a spot on the grass to have a picnic. In the other half of the garden there's also a children's playground, and two show stages (one for children), a you can find toilets at 2/3 entrances. There are more things that you just cannot describe, but have to see for yourself. I've already told a few of my friends it's so beautiful that I felt like crying. I would advise coming before 5pm as the greenhouses close at 5 (the whole garden is open until 8pm in summer). In the morning there will probably be less people than in the afternoon. This garden is really a must! If you have enough time on your trip, it's very easy to spend a whole afternoon (or...

Trädgårdsföreningen, or The Garden Society of Gothenburg, stands out as one of the best-preserved 19th-century parks in Europe. Located in the heart of Gothenburg, this historic park offers a lush oasis with its extensive rose garden, featuring over 1200 varieties, and the iconic Palmhouse, a glass and iron greenhouse inspired by London's Crystal Palace. Ideal for both relaxation and exploration, it provides picturesque settings for walks, particularly enchanting in the early morning.

The park also caters well to families, boasting a creative playground that delights children Additionally, Trädgårdsföreningen offers a serene escape with its well-manicured gardens and historic structures, enriching any visitor's experience. The park's Stenpartiet area showcases rare and fascinating plants, adding to the botanical variety. For refreshments, the quaint Rosenkaféet, nestled in one of the oldest buildings within the park, serves as a delightful spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. Whether you're a gardening enthusiast, a family with kids, or simply seeking a peaceful stroll, Trädgårdsföreningen caters to a broad range of interests, making it a must-visit location...

The most PERFECT ROSE GARDEN/ROSARIUM in all Scandinavia, not so many years ago newly rebuilt and reorganised. I suggest all ROSE ENTHUSIASTS should visit. The Best would be to schedule several visits as the different rose groups/categories begin flowering in various time. In late May/start June Burnet Roses and Botanic/Wild Roses, and then gradually all other species and cultivars. There are HUNDREDS VARIOUS ROSE SPECIES AND ROSE CULTIVARS in Gothenburg ROSARIUM, a pure paradise, real heaven and haven for rose lovers and just lovers. It is beautiful also after all roses have flowered over, then it is time to admire their ROSE HIPS in many different colours and shapes, from black to green, from oblongated ones to round ones that look like miniature apples. Please visit any time of the year, u find always something interesting there in Rose Garden. And no...

It is open from 10-18 during winter times and has a free entrance. If you wear glasses, they will get foggy when stepping in, but you'll find a bench to the left side of the entrance, to sit down while your glasses get back to normal if you don't just wipe them yourself. The complex has 4 main compartments. The first one has mostly big palms and a staircase leading up to an indoor terrace with tables and chairs. Lovely place for an afternoon bite or coffee as long as you bring it with you. Then there are two more compartments to each side with the left side having one extra room at the end. You'll find plenty of interesting plants growing in the whole complex and all of them are labeled with names. There's even a Micky Mouse plant. Definitely worth a visit.

A beautiful public park that's quite small in size yet offer many different areas to walk about and enjoy. Its divided up into two areas where one side offers some open areas and is mostly made up of the usual swedish fauna. The other side, though, is an interconnected web of green and lush paths of a more unusual variety of fauna where you can saunter about, enjoy some quality time by yourself, friends, your family or - what I'd recommend - a romantic partner. The different paths offer everything from the typical collection of swedish fauna to a more exotic variety that's carefully maintained to offer an experience quite unlike other parks you'll find in the city. The park also houses a restaurant, café and a peculiar place called "Palmhuset".

🌸🌷🌿 Trädgårdsföreningen – A Blooming Paradise in Gothenburg 🌿🌷🌸 What a truly magical garden! 💫 Bursting with flowers in every color and shape imaginable 🌺🌼🌻—and buzzing with happy insects enjoying the nectar 🐝🦋. There are cozy benches scattered throughout the park 🪑🧺, perfect for taking a relaxing break if the garden’s size feels a bit much for one stroll 🚶‍♀️. The atmosphere is peaceful, fresh, and full of life 🍃🌞. 🍰🍦 The café is a treat—delicious pastries for grownups and refreshing ice cream for the kids. A lovely spot to enjoy a sweet break in beautiful surroundings ☕🥐 The grand glasshouse was closed when we visited 🚪❌, but honestly, the garden itself was so spacious and full of charm that we didn’t mind one bit 🌳💖
