Wow, sitting here after my soup and cake endeavor. It was an exquisite experience. Lovely saffron flavour and whole shrimp , some fish and perfectly cut potatoes in the soup. After I tried almost all the cakes (sorry chocolate and rum) and they were surprisingly good. I must say the nougat comes first and blackberry takes seconds. I had a lovely date with myself here on a Sunday. You should also. Btw the young woman working there was beyond helpful. Probably the most service minded person I’ve met on this trip back to Sweden, been here 2,5 months! I will miss places like this in Australia, and the price is extraordinary for the value! Much love

Cosy cafe with nice interior in central Gothenburg close to the train station and Nordstan shopping centre. Had the soup and cake buffet at my latest visit there, for 119kr you get soup, (different soups each time) freshly baked bread and all-you-can-eat from different cakes including coffee or tea of your choice. The cakes are really good and nicely put together and they usually have some gluten free options to choose from as well as gluten free bread. They also have a shop where you can pick up breads and baked goods for take away if you're having your fika or breakfast elsewhere.

Detta på grund av att min dotter hade med sig några Churros in på caféet, som hon hade köpt på centralstationen men inte hunnit äta upp. Vi åkte in till stan för att fika tillsammans, något som min dotter hade sett mycket fram emot. Det regnade och vi ville ta in på närmsta fik. Jag beställde kaffe och smoothie till dottern, efter en stund kommer en i personalen och säger att vi inte får ha med något utifrån och äta här. Jag förklarar att det är mitt barn, en fyra åring som har några churros kvar som hon gärna vill äta upp, men att vi redan handlat från caféet och sitter och fikar. Hon blir lika obekväm som andra gäster runt omkring men säger att hon ska prata med sin chef. Därefter kommer hon tillbaka och säger att hon tyvärr måste be oss att lämna om min dotter ska fortsätta äta från sina churros(!!). Jag frågar om hon är seriös och om hon verkligen ber oss att lämna när vi inte hunnit fika klart eller dricka upp det vi handlat hos dom. Men tyvärr så ha hon, sådana är reglerna. Min fyraåring hörde hela konversationen och blev ledsen för att vi blivit utslängda. Pinsamt Steinbrenner! Hur kan ni behandla era kunder på det sättet och inte minst ett litet barn! Detta var värsta upplevelsen någonsin och det förstörde hela vår dag. Kommer aldrig komma tillbaka till er och rekommenderar ingen att göra det. Respektlöst bemötande!

I bought tea and a pastry to that, unaware that they were closing soon. All of a sudden the guy comes and informs me that they are closing and takes my tray. I ate my pastry but drank half a cup of the tea pot that I had. I'm not saying that it's wrong but have could have given my a heads up to let me finish, for the price that you pay I'd expect that.
