This is such an underrated museum. I get the impression that people tend to think this is a place for children but as an old adult, I enjoyed it again and I still wanna bring my father to this place because I think he’ll enjoy it too. I’ve been to this museum before they renovated the place in 2017 and really liked the exhibitions of musical instruments. But now bits about the theatre is more coherent and the whole place felt more spacious than before and my overall experience was very good—I didn’t know about the renovation and I’ve almost skipped to save money but I’m glad I made it. (Admission was 140SEK for an adult btw). Also, they have such lovely staff. I got lucky and joined a guided tour in English (and I was one of the only two people attended this tour) and it was guided by a very enthusiastic dance expert. They have some fun installations that work (v important) and hey you know what, Gunhild carling is in the credits! Kinda missed the old school drum kits from the 1920s-1930s with the wooden thingies, though (and maybe there are a few things they could probably implement to ameliorate the museum). But it’s good and I highly...

Absolutely beautiful exhibitions and displays that show the creativity of Stockholm's performers. However, it had a very strange atmosphere as it was almost desolate and the one woman manning the desk appeared to be lurking ominously behind her, we had no idea what she was saying but she had an interesting energy that radiated awkwardness and confusion. Some dolls were creepy and looked like they were moving in the shadows which scared us but we appreciated the craft behind the creation of these terrifying beings. The music area was very fun where we could play the drums and the keyboard and also listen to different musical instruments. I had a chance to...

I am not a huge fan of modern performing arts, but I did find this museum entertaining. There were some parts I could have done without, but I am sure some would say the same about aspects I enjoyed. I loved the section dedicated to musical instruments and sound. I also enjoyed the display covering puppetry. One of my favorite things was the dancing stick figures, for lack of a better term. It followed and mimicked you motion while translating your movements into sound. That was very entertaining. Overall, it was a fun visit and I know my daughter enjoyed...
