Somewhere between a fever dream and your grandmother’s attic after five glasses of sherry, this place will make all your nightmares come true. Creepy Victorian dolls who must have absolutely traumatized their former owners, metal wind-up animals being ridden by deranged metal children…. Every display case is a reminder that either children in the 1800s were tougher, or the toy makers had all gone insane- probably from over-exposure to the mercury, lead paint and other standard ingredients that went into children’s playthings in those days.
But there’s more. With an explosion of polyester and demonstrable career diversity, you hit the Barbie Room. It’s divine and inspiring. There’s even ABBA Barbie!
Then it’s on to the retro video games room, where all the dads will enjoy thrashing their offspring with their joystick prowess… while the kids try to touch the screen ....

There are explanations in different languages and lots of toys :-) Comics have been less interesting for me as the first half was in Swedish and later in English as well. However to go through the whole comics exhibition is truly something wonderful. And there are places for children to play with toys in different places in the museum.
