ViCAFE Münsterhof — Restaurant in Zurich

Okay, so if I was able to give this place more than just 5 stars, I would definitely do that! This was the first, and perhaps, the last (so far) experience of tasting such a decent coffee. I ordered double espresso and was amazed by how good it is! So amazed that when I got back home I had to run around the city to find the same quality coffee shop. (Found one slightly similar, but yet it’s nothing compared to ViCAFE). What I also liked is the location. It’s just perfect! It’s located on a square nearby a river. It has plenty of single tables to enjoy your coffee with a view of people passing by and that beautiful European architecture. As a foreigner, I got really excited about this place!

If I ever happen to re-visit Zurich, I will definitely come to say hi and get that perfect cup...

We love this branch (and the others) for their exceptional coffee in Zurich. While many places still serve you really bad coffee (made by pressing a button and pouring a ton of chocolate powder over it), the coffee here is really decent.

Located in one of Zurich’s old guild houses it has a prime location to stop during your stroll through the old town. Outside sitting let’s you overlook the entire square which is filled with people enjoying the good weather.

Also try their fruit bread (Fruchtbrötli) with your coffee.

Savoury place, cozy, you find nearby you always when you are roaming the old town. For winter travellers looking to rest their legs it might not be the beat place as the space inside is pretty small. For summer travellers, you are going to love the outdoor seating they have. Notwithstanding the price, the quality of the food and coffee justifies it.
