First of all, this restaurant is not located inside the MO hotel rather a walk around the corner in the main plaza. This restaurant has been around for quite a while, but the new one under Mandarin O hotel is quite different from its classic Italian roots. It is following the line of most Michelin star restaurants with creative cooking and plating in smaller portions and a lot of complementary amusement-bouche and mignardises… Now to the main dishes, we were four and preferred a la carte. They don’t really have a separate a la carte but they do allow you to pick and choose to form your own 3/4/5 courses from 2 different degustation menus which we really appreciate. Plating and creativity of the dishes are top, service is attentive and portions are small, rather tiny. I found myself pleasantly surprised half full before I even started my very first course as there were quite a lot of complementary amuse bouches and nicely baked bread. I personally chose 2 seafood dishes, it was good, after a lengthy explanation of various ingredients by a French speaking waitress. I don’t know why they didn’t have an Italian server but chose a French speaking server. To be honest I was not that impressed by the scampi and lobster dishes. Don’t get me wrong, they were very good, but didn’t wow me for the price they were charging. If you like real Italian seafood creative dishes, Langosteria from Milano which I recently frequented has amazing seafood dishes w non pretentious portion. I didn’t really feel the Italian taste coming out of this place, I guess that is my biggest disappointment. But nonetheless it is a top restaurant.

Wow! A Culinary Masterpiece at Orsini From start to finish, our experience at Orsini was nothing short of excellent! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and escorted to our beautifully set table, where an unforgettable culinary journey awaited. The restaurant offers two fixed menus: the Classic Menü and the Seasonal Menü, with the option of either four or six courses. We opted for the four-course menu with wine pairing, and every bite was a revelation. The dishes were not only visually stunning but also perfectly seasoned, with well-balanced textures and temperatures. Each ingredient on the plate stood out, yet harmonized beautifully with the rest. The wine pairing? Simply flawless—every selection was a perfect match for its respective dish. Service was another highlight. The staff moved in perfect synchronization, creating an almost theatrical experience as they presented and cleared each course. Their attentiveness was impeccable—checking in just enough to make us feel cared for, without ever being intrusive. The ambiance is an elegant blend of classic and modern, fitting for its location inside the Mandarin Oriental. Street parking is available nearby, making access convenient. Orsini delivers a top-tier dining experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for exceptional food, outstanding service, and a touch of magic. A true delight to be a guest here!

Orsini Restaurant in Zurich is a true gem of refined Italian dining, where every detail is executed with passion and precision. Under the masterful leadership of Chef Dario, the kitchen delivers culinary artistry that delights the senses, with the standout scallop with oyster sauce dish offering a sublime balance of delicate sweetness and umami depth. Sous Chef Gianmarco brings finesse and innovation to every plate, ensuring a flawless experience from start to finish. The impeccable service, led by the ever-attentive Captain Diana, is warm, professional, and perfectly orchestrated by the charming and multilingual Manager Sascha, who ensures every guest feels like a VIP. Dining at Orsini is not just a meal—it’s a memorable journey into elegance and flavor.

Besuch vom 1. Juni 2024, 20:30h, 2 Erwachsene, 1 Jugendlicher, 13 Jahre

Zugang: 1/10 Ambiente: 8/10 Empfang: 3/10 Auswahl: 3/10 Essen: 3/10 Service: 3/10 Preis/Leistung: 4/10
