Kitchen Master — Restaurant in New Taipei

Here are the things I noted while dining: Ambience - upon entering the resto, you can feel that this definitely is a semi-fine dining experience. Price - a bit expensive for somebody who is not splurging financially while travelling. Taste - definitely loved the Combo C specifically the dessert. I don't know what it's called. My husband also loved Combo A and it's dessert. We both loved the rice. Both soups included in the combo tasted good. Service - the staff were polite however we were restricted to ask them personally since they were not conversant in English (which was understandable since we are in Taiwan) and we only know a few Taiwanese words. I appreciate that they changed the background music into English songs when we were there but I really don't mind listening to their local music. The service was good. The dishes were delivered in timely manner (timely was good 👍). The taste was a bit light for my taste bud (no excessive salt or msg). I saw a lot of aged people in the restaurant. The home made chili oil is really good 👍. This is a 5 stars place for xiaolongbao and authentic Chinese dishes. The only negative comment on the restaurant is the cost for soda. I think $100 NTD for a coke or spirit is a bit much (7-11 selling for $25 NTD, I feel the reasonable price should be $50 NTD, I took a star off because the overpriced soda). Few days ago, I visited Kitchen Master because a friend visiting from the US wanted to eat Taiwan xiaolongbao. Location is good, near Tamsui MRT station. The place is clean and bright. The staff is friendly and helpful with our order since my friend speaks English. The food is good and flavorful.
