Seven Stars Resort and Spa — Attraction in Providenciales

First off, I would like to start by saying I do NOT recommend this to anyone attempting to Honeymoon in Turks and Caicos, which is what my wife and I made the mistake of doing. Our room number was 3609, which was (to us) a very expensive Suite in the third building, second from the top floor (penthouse). We don’t usually do big trips that aren’t all-inclusive but thought this place looked beautiful, which to the credit of the staff, is. However what they fail to mention is that your “Suite” is going to be connected to 1-2 other suites only separated by what sounds like are paper walls. We were there for 6 nights, on the first night we arrived and genuinely thought there was a mistake the front desk had man’s and that a family was already in our room because we heard a family talking to one-another at a very reasonable volume that sounded like they were only footsteps away. After checking the room we were mistaken, the hall off of our bedroom has a door that goes directly into the neighboring suite and you can hear them from anywhere within ours. So we called the front desk and made it clear that they weren’t being loud or anything but requested a different Suite.. Hopefully something not directly next to a family and their 2 kids. They said it wasn’t possible and that all of their suites were made this way and offered a $100.00 voucher (which not to be snobby seemed insulting considering having paid ~$10,000 for the suite itself). I guess they called the neighboring suite and asked them to keep it down for some reason, as if they were being loud, which again, I want to clarify they were not.||||Day 1. So the next morning my wife and I were woken up to a toddler screaming and crying at roughly 6:30AM. It genuinely sounded lime the baby was IN our bedroom, in our suite with how clear and loud the crying and screaming was. I didn’t want to make a stink of it and convinced my wife that it was likely a fluke and wouldn’t be a big deal (babies cry sometimes, no big deal), so we just got up and went down and laid by the beach. We came back to the room later in the evening to relax and maybe get some “alone time”, but unfortunately the neighbors must’ve had a little too much to drink and were in an argument about the shampoos and conditioners that the father had packed instead of what the mother had asked him to pack and now they were going to have to use expensive ADULT SHAMPOO on their toddlers heads. So needless to say, day and night ruined.||||Day 2. 6:46AM (I recorded this one so I have the exact time stamp), same baby, same screaming, same crying, this time they elected to bathe the kids in the morning and some of the shampoo got in their youngest’ eyes. This time, I just walked straight to the front desk, where I showed them the video and audio and was told they were sorry but again, there are no Suites that don’t have adjoining rooms but was offered a free Cabana for the day so I could potentially relax down there because we could not in the room we requested… Night 2 was pretty quiet.||||Day 3. Just obnoxious conversation we could overhear the entire day, nothing major worth mentioning||||Day 4. Again the baby screams and cries bright and early this time at about 7:14AM and I honestly had had it at this point, my wife and I are livid so we went down to the front desk and was told “don’t worry, they check out tonight and it shouldn’t be a problem anymore”. Fine, whatever. That night was peaceful. ||||Day 5. New Neighbors. This time they were neighbors from Brooklyn (Very distinct accents) that loved singing and also had a baby that loved crying but not in the morning, just throughout the day.. All… Day. Again, I have audio and video of this. It’s insane.||||Day 6. Last day, we go grab breakfast (great breakfast buffet to be fair), and decide that we’ll take it back to the room and do some packing to make the next morning a little easier, we’ll use the nice table in the living area, have a mimosa or something. Well, unfortunately that space is directly attached to a different door that leads into our other neighbors who were having it out over who’s turn it was to pay for lunch, and we’re also arguing about someone calling someone? Idk, but again. I have audio and video of it. ||||If you read all of this I apologize. But I have to say, this resort is terrible if you want to go as just a couple. The way they remedied our issues was essentially just saying “get out of bed earlier than your neighbor, get out of your room you paid thousands for, and sleep outside so you don’t have to hear...

Perfection Defined: A Honeymoon in Paradise

My partner and I stayed at Seven Stars for our week-long honeymoon trip to TCI in May 2021. From booking the reservation through check-out, I cannot say enough amazing things about this resort and its staff. So please pour yourself a glass of wine and buckle up:

Upon arrival at Seven Stars, we were immediately comforted with a sense of safety entering the resort, as there is a security guard posted in front (and at night, one is out back as well). They take COVID-19 protocols seriously by having all staff masked (though I understood they have all been vaccinated), offering hand sanitizer throughout the resort, and even complimentary masks. Guests were not required to wear masks except for while in line at breakfast in the mornings. We were greeted by a friendly staff with a cool towel and rum punch in their breezy and comfortable lobby area. The size of the resort was a Goldilocks for us: it was grand without being gauche (see: Ritz-Carlton next door), but never felt overly busy, and was certainly never crowded. During our stay, we noticed mostly couples, but also a small cohort of group(s) and families with children. We very much wanted to avoid children on this trip, but we noted that the small handful at Seven Stars were all quite well behaved and quiet. The resort has one of the best locations in Provo. It is across the street from the Graceway Gourmet grocery store and close to other shops, galleries, and restaurants at Regent Village and Saltmills Plaza. We were thrilled to not need a car the entire week (except for when we did a day trip to North and Middle Caicos, which I would highly recommend).

We were thrilled with our sixth floor ocean front junior suite in Alhena (the most eastern building). The four-poster bed with sheer curtains and soft sheets was sinfully comfortable, and the decor was stylish, breezy, and chic. The large marbled bathroom included a washer and dryer in the water closet (of which we were appreciative), a shower, two spacious sinks with plenty of fully stocked cabinet space, L’Occitane bath products, and a large jacuzzi tub (this was such a huge selling point for us)! What took our breath away the view of Grace Bay Beach. We faced slightly west, with the most awe-inspiring sunsets imaginable. The balcony was large and included a table and chairs (perfect for dinner al fresco) and two lounge chairs. Words cannot fully describe the beauty of the water in Grace Bay, and yet photos do not do it justice either. It is something one can only truly enjoy as an experience.

Each day started off with the expansive American breakfast buffet at Seven. The food was delectable and balanced with daily staples and daily variety items. It was so scrumptious and filling that we never had lunch once the entire week. The hosts and servers were cheerful each morning, and we never waited long for anything requested.

The resort has two heated saltwater pools, one of them on the adult-only deck. Our days were spent on the beach, but evenings and nights were spent more often in the pool so I cannot attest to pool service, but both areas seemed quite relaxed and rather quiet most of the time. I would recommend a late night swim after dinner before they close at 10 PM. The vast majority of our time at the resort was spent on the beach. The location is in our favorite section of Grace Bay, where the beach is wider (though, admittedly, not as wide as Grace Bay Club or Club Med). The loungers were very comfortable and the towels For beach food service, Lila is utterly fantastic and provides exemplary service to guests. He is truly an asset to Seven Stars.

Our stay at Seven Stars could not have been more relaxing, pleasant, and enjoyable. We spent weeks researching the different resorts on Grace Bay before booking and enjoyed walking up and down the beach to have a peak at “what we were missing.” The answer: absolutely nothing. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we...

We just returned from 5 days in Turks & Caicos, staying at Seven Stars resort. Upon arrival we were greeted with cold refreshing towels and rum punch -- a lovely welcome. Check-in was a breeze and we were given the option for a quick resort tour or be taken straight to our room. We chose the tour!

ROOM: To our surprise, our garden view suite had a sliver of a beach view and we received a room on a high floor, as requested, in the Maia building. The room was gorgeous and perfect. We especially found enjoyment clicking the remote for the automatic blinds each morning -- HA! The bathroom is huge and was stocked with all the amenities (great blow dryer, robes, slippers, etc.) and the room even had a stocked kitchenette with everything we needed -- wine glasses, silverware, etc.

LOCATION: This resort is situated in the absolute perfect location on the island. You can walk to tons of restaurants and the grocery store (Graceway). The resort also offers bikes which we used several times and loved. The grocery store has everything you need (at double the price) and we stocked up on snacks and booze for our room since we had a kitchenette. Also, our room was kept in immaculate condition thanks to Indunil and Shante. When we would return in the afternoons from the beach, our room would look and smell exactly how it did when we saw it for the first time. Even our phone charger cords were perfectly wrapped up with fancy little rubber bands.

POOL: We didn't use the pool at all, but that was only because the view on the beach was too gorgeous that we couldn't peel ourselves away from it. We also noticed most of the families at the resort stayed around the pool area.

BEACH: This was truly the best beach I've ever seen in my life. The loungers were so comfortable that I was able to take a few snoozes throughout the week (and I am not a napper). The umbrellas are huge and sturdy. The water is crystal clear blue. Lila took the very best care of us while we were there each day. He checked on us at just the right times -- never too often and definitely made sure we had everything we needed. While on the beach we got a smoothie sample, fruit skewers and one day one of the staff was out offering to clean our sunglasses! Now that is serious service.

The Deck: One of my favorite amenities of the resort is the beachside restaurant. As I mentioned, we couldn't peel ourselves away from the beach view for lunch, and thankfully we didn't have to since The Deck was just a few steps away and offered the same gorgeous view, relaxing island ambiance, great service and delicious food. Highly recommend the tacos! We also visited The Deck for Happy Hour each day and returned after our dinners each evening for nightcaps. The lounger sofas were so plush and comfy and we curled right up next to the fire each night. Daison kept our drinks flowing and was an excellent bartender.

Seven: Each morning we ate breakfast at Seven and it was amazing. The omelet station was extremely popular -- and for good reason. They were excellent. Lots of fresh juices, pastries, breads, fruits, breakfast meats, vegetables, cereals, oatmeals, and more. Each morning we loved being seated with our coffee and a copy of the USA Times. We also ate dinner at Seven one evening and the duck was very, very good.

Other restaurants: Coyaba was our favorite restaurant. Coco Bistro was a close second. Tip: Make sure you grab a churro from the airstream van (called Cocovan) in the parking lot for dessert. We also went to Bugaloos by cab and it was super windy. On our way to the airport we stopped at Da Conch Shack for lunch and it lives up to the hype -- don't leave the island without...
