TLDR: Quaint and different restaurant with good food selection.
This Review is based on an August 2022 Visit.
The layout is mainly outdoor dining with some unique liquor Casks as tables along the outside. More traditional tables are under an outdoor sheltered area. It appears that there is also indoor dining if weather does turn.
The food was above average tasting, and the staff was friendly. My party had waffles with eggs and bacon along with toast with scrambled eggs with beans, mushrooms and avocado. The toasted bread serving could have been a tiny bit bigger for the way I eat. I would have liked to have had enough bread to eat all of the avocado and eggs. Not a deal breaker though. The serving sizes overall was adequate enough to be filling.
As a vegetarian (who eats eggs), I would definitely get this again. To drink, I had a Ginger ale and others in my party had coffee. No complaints from them. I would have preferred a juice, but I didn't notice any on the menu. That could have been because I was still half asleep.
I would recommend this spot to others. No stars removed because the experience was good...
Read moreWe found this place on our last day of a week long trip and this is BY FAR the best food we've had on the island! I've been craving some jerk chicken, but can't eat meat. The chef made me a jerk cauliflower steak that was amazing! I had a side of roasted mushrooms and spicy rice to go with it and everything was so good we asked to meet the chef since it's not busy tonight. He's from the Dominican Republic and said his food is inspired by his home and multiple islands. He's back in the kitchen making something special for us and I don't know what it is, but I'll eat anything he cooks! My friends also came here for brunch and had an amazing experience! They brought me a coconut Danish and I'm planning to stop and grab more of those on my way to the airport to take home to my family.
P.S. The surprise food was lasagna and it was unlike any lasagna I've had, but it was SO GOOD!
Long story short, eat here. The only thing you'll regret is not being able to buy the sauce to take...
Read moreTribe Cafe is an absolute gem in Turks and Caicos! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and passion poured into every detail—from the warm hospitality of the owner to the incredible food that keeps you coming back. The sourdough and pastries are next-level, fresh and flaky perfection, and their rich coffee is some of the best I’ve had on the island. I’m also obsessed with their toasties—simple, hearty, and delicious.
What really makes Tribe stand out is its unique blend of Caribbean vibes with British comfort classics. Where else on the island can you find a proper Sunday roast complete with Yorkshire pudding? Add to that a prime location that makes it the perfect stop mid-exploration, and you've got yourself a local favorite that feels like home. A must-visit whether you’re here for a...
