The food is decent, but that’s about it. The restaurant is filled with hidden charges, such as an additional $10 for every round of chips after the first (which isn’t written anywhere in the menu, they actually advertise free chips and salsa) that they bring out without any warnings about the additional cost, chips which taste about as good as Tostito’s. The service can be insulting, with waitresses randomly taking our table and swapping it out with a broken one that a white family had (for reference, we are a family of colour), and getting defensive when we asked about it. The waitresses are rude and very condescending. When we were brought a drink on the house from the bartender because he recognised us, our waitress charged us for it, claiming she didn’t have the time to ask the bartender about it when we asked her about it. We did not even want the drink.
When asked to celebrate a family member’s birthday, they did not offer to do anything until I spelled out exactly what they could do. Even after agreeing, when I asked her whether she was still going to do it, she brushed me off and said she didn’t have the time for him.
We came back, but it’s also the only Mexican place on the island, so we didn’t have a ton of options. Avoid...
Read moreMy husband and I arrived at the same time as a family of 4. About 5 minutes later a second family of 4 arrived. Both sets of family had one server and we had Kenia. Both families were finished and gone before we even got our food because our server was so slow. There's island time, and then there's her time.
After we were very obviously finished eating, we literally waited 15 minutes and watched her go from table to table servicing them without ever looking at us. It was as if she forgot we were her table. I finally had to go get her in the bar to ask for our check.
Even after flagging her down, we waited another 5 minutes before she came over. I ordered a swirl margarita and she had added an up-charge for Patron (which I didn't order). I asked if the service charge (tip) was already included and she flat out lied and said it wasn't (it was).
Avoid this place unless you want overpriced mediocre food, poor service and being taken...

Customer service: 5, the host/waitress was so kind and upbeat. She interacted with each customer with a special touch.
Timelines: 5, there wasn't a wait for a table and I got to pick wherever I wanted to sit. Ordering and delivery food was prompt.
Drink: 5, I had the cucumber Margarita; it was refreshing and my new go-to for hot environments. It was giving spa treatment vibes.
Food: 3.5, I grew up with authentic Mexican food, so often try to find a spot anywhere I live or visit. Due to the location and TCI as a whole being a large tourist attraction, I think the food was tweked to the taste buds of US/UK tourists so it wasn't very authentic. The chips and salsa are sweet and my order of huevos rancheros wasn't what I expected but still tasty.
Overall, I had an enjoyable experience and highly recommended for the drinks and a...
