I heard so much about giggles when I got to Turks and Caicos. I love ice cream and they said this is the place to go and I saw them at the fish fry on Thursday and I went to the port of call to have their ice cream. The grape nut ice cream was OK . Nothing special. The thing that I didn't like is that the lady behind the desk seem to be very unhappy and very rude. They have a glass bulletproof glass between them and the customer. Especially with the register is. I don't understand because Turks and Caicos seems so safe, but I don't live here, so maybe I don't know the ins and outs. But it was very formal and businesslike. It doesn't match the name giggles. You should be happy working there and you should be happy when you walk in there. She wouldn't even serve my ice cream or scoop it up until I paid her first and then when she got her money, she went to go and get the ice cream. That's done in reverse. Even the most Hood crime in infested places I've been wait until they serve you before they expect money. Some of these places in the local area areas are not very nice. I noticed that the people that work in the resorts are trained in hospitality and customer service and the people who own their own local shops in the area are not very nice. Every Caribbean place knows that tourism keeps the economy flowing. The money that the tourist spend is what keeps everybody's lights on. The prices are ridiculous. The best ice cream stores in America do not charge $16 for a cup of ice cream. These places are charging astronomical prices for everything. Turks and Caicos is probably the most expensive island I've ever been to. Second to Cancun Taxi prices, Turks and Caicos charges a whole lot for their food. It's some good food, though compared to some of the other islands food. I will say that second to Jamaica, I think Turks and Caicos has the best food. But it's still not worth the prices that they charge. And I still feel when I go into your establishment and I'm a tourist, you should be respectful at the very least. I'm coming in there to buy food or Products from you and I have choices of where to go. Why do you have a business if you're not happy working in your business. Don't be rude and mean and disrespectful and impolite to customers. Whether their tourist or whether they're your local neighbors. Just be nice. It takes more muscles in your face to frown than it...

The soft ice cream was frankly sub grocery grade. Chemical taste to it. And prices are deep into insanity territory. But this occurs now and there on the island and I wouldn’t have bothered making a review were it not for the spectacularly rotten attitude the wish-clients-wouldn’t-show-up employee demonstrated.
We had that distinctly non-welcoming, unpleasant, arrogant vibe from her when ordering. We then went outside to eat our stuff while still looking in. For a brief moment the store was empty and she of course seized the opportunity to get on her phone....A minute later new clients walk in; she literally rolls her eyes to their faces!
All this to say, don’t go there unless you want to encourage that sh**. Island scoop is a block away, has some pretty good ice cream and less...
Read moreThe ice cream wasn't cheap but it tasted like it was the best on the island! It reminded me of Devon House ice cream in Jamaica except there is no crowd on weekends.
I tried the peppermint đźŤđźŤ¦flavor because I've never had that before and I like mint so what could go wrong right? Nothing went wrong. It was the perfect amount of mint. It wasn't overpowering the vanilla.
9/10 for that flavor only because the consistency was a bit strange and some people may not like that. And the lady was very patient with me and my friends for not having a clue what we wanted....
