Caicos Cafe is the best restaurant that we have been to in the Caribbean so far. All I will say is that we dined at Caicos Cafe three times and we were in Provo for only 5 days. Outstanding refined cooking with attentive, efficient, and friendly service that you rarely see outside of high end restaurants. Everything we ate there was just delicious. One mark of a great restaurant is the quality of the bread service and the bread service at Caicos Cafe is a winner. Warm Focaccia, sour dough, bread sticks .. . just a great way to whet the appetite and set the mood.
We then had the Faroe Salmon (twice), the beef garganelli (twice) and grouper ravioli (kids liked those), the octopus (superbly executed), the bbq ribs (fall off the bone with a really good marinade), and grilled mahi-mahi special. Desserts were uniformly great with standouts being the molten chocolate cake and apple mango crumble.
A very special shout out to all the waiters and host whose service and attention really knocked it out of the park.
If you are in the Grace Bay area, do yourself a favor and grab dinner at the Caicos...
Read moreI’ve never written a 1 star review in my life. The first night we tried to walk up, they said they could not seat us even though there were many empty tables. We chalked it up to reservations we didn’t have.
2nd night we had reservations and after our first round of drinks we were asked to quite down by the owner even though we were speaking in normal conversational voices. We asked the owner what was wrong, and he told us he didn’t like the way we were behaving. We are a group of 40 something, well-behaved adults. He told us no other tables had an issue with us, he just didn’t like us. He seriously told us that.
We canceled our food orders, which including bartab would have been well more than $1000 and he told us “this place isn’t for people like you.”
We apologized to the waiters and they expressed how sad and tired they were to be working for him. They lost significant tip $ because of what a sad man they work for and they were clearly aware of...
Read moreWhere do I begin . As Canadians and restaurant owners ,we are very spoiled. Since we’ve arrived to the island we have been left disappointed from our previous meals and had wondered if perhaps all the food at the fine dining places we dined at were just not up to our standard. Caicos cafe BLEW OUR MINDS. The gnocchi was the best we’ve ever had and this includes our trips to Italy. The owner is from Italy ,and is in the kitchen l every dish prepared was made by a culinary genius .We are coming back to Turks and Caicos for this man and this man alone ( we had previously decided that perhaps the island was just geared towards Americans and was not our culinary taste). Thank you for the amazing experience , thank you for the pride you take in your restaurant. We are so grateful to have...
