Disappointing Service Experience I recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the service. Here are the key points I'd like to highlight:
The hostess's attitude was off-putting right from the start. Despite the empty outdoor patio, she seemed dismissive when we mentioned not having a reservation. Her response indicated they were overbooked, but she reluctantly said she would check if something could be arranged.
Our waitress seemed cold and rushed throughout our entire meal. Her demeanor made us feel unwelcome and unimportant.
We were surprised when she took away our complimentary bread basket even though there were pieces left. When we requested more bread, she bluntly refused, stating it wasn't possible.
A particular incident occurred when I sought assistance in choosing between two wines. Instead of engaging in a helpful conversation, the waitress abruptly cut me off, stating that one of the wines was unavailable. It would have been more customer-friendly to explore alternative wine options together.
We sensed annoyance from the waitress when we opted not to order appetizers. It was disappointing to be made to feel as though our choices were an inconvenience.
As a vegetarian, I tried to substitute the beef-pork ragu sauce for a tomato sauce. However, the waitress seemed unable to comprehend my request and disregarded my dietary preference. She simply stated that she wouldn't recommend it, without offering any alternatives.
Lastly, I want to emphasize again that the overall demeanor of the waitress was cold and distant, which significantly impacted our dining experience.
While the food itself may have been satisfactory, the negative aspects of the service overshadowed our visit. I hope the restaurant management takes these points into consideration to improve the quality of service provided to...
Read moreMy wife and I dined at Casa Nonna for our 1-year wedding anniversary and it was a fantastic experience! We were able to choose where we sat (inside or outside) and they almost immediately acknowledged our anniversary. We chose an outside table which was very peaceful with a nice view of the ocean. Our server was extremely kind and soft spoken and was very attentive throughout the evening. When it came time to pick a bottle of wine, Mary who is the manager of the restaurant, came to our table to recommend different types/bottles that would pair well with our meal. We were hesitant on which to order so she let us try multiple wines and choose which we liked best. After choosing a bottle of red, she even brought us a taster of a white wine that she liked as a complimentary drink! She not only helped us with our drink selection, she made great conversation with us and asked all about our anniversary and story before sharing her own. On top of all that, the food was incredible. The pasta was very fresh, not too heavy and had a great taste. Our experience felt truly personal and I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, fancier meal with...
Read moreThey serve complimentary bread with cheese inside. Grilled octopus was pretty tasty although the octopus was slightly overdone. It comes on some hummus and served with chickpeas, olives and red peppers and onions which really taste good. The meatballs appetizer comes with two meatballs served over tomato sauce and ricotta cheese. Chicken parmesan is a big plate and does Not come with pasta. But it comes with zucchini made to look like pasta. The chicken parm is overly breaded, very big with a lot of cheese on top. It is pretty tasty but very bready.
The spaghetti promodoro has a cheesy tomato sauce. It is pretty tasty. We sure does with the chicken parm plate. The grouper menu item has a very delicious flavor. It is a fillet of grouper on top of sautee onions, olives, and breaded and fried artichoke served with capers. The flavors are tangy and savory and it works well with the light flavor of the grouper. It is a wonderful plate to order If you like fish. There is just the right portion and flavor hits it on the spot without leaving you...
