Auris Boutique Hotel Apartments — Attraction in Dubai

Booked this place through Airbnb from 3rd to 8th October and paid for the rooms in advance on Sep 20th 2022 for myself, my family (wife andtwo kids) . Arrived on 3rd October post noon.

Let us pro con this place

1. Location :This place is right in between two metro stations (Mall of Emirates) and Mashreeq. Both these stations are too far to walk without sweating and too close to call a cab. Hotel Skylark is more preferable, unless you have a cab booked for the entire trip or have other arrangements for transport.
2. Staff courtesy: Non existent. I am not sure what sort of clientele this apartment hotel attracts. The lady receptionist is very racist and the front desk treats you very suspiciously even though you have paid the entire amount to cover for the weeks stay 10 days before landing. I think only Visa over stayers, desperate job hunters, thieves etc come to the hotel apart from the occasional visitors like myself who walk in without knowing. There is no other way to justify the caustic and deplorable way the woman at the front desk behaves. Would have addressed her a lady instead of calling her a woman if she behaved like a lady.
3. Complimentaries: The toiletries will not be replaced everyday and the same applies to the complimentary water bottles. These are afforded only on day one. These are little things, but this goes a long way in getting good reviews, references and repeat visits.
4. Security deposit: if you are booking this property on Airbnb, it mentions that 100 AED should be paid at the time of check in. However, when you come to check in, please be prepared to shell out 300 AED more as security deposit that will be refunded at the time of check out. This is not acceptable and against common practices because we, as customers, are already paying for the entire stay, weeks in advance. And let me warn you...if you are not carrying the cash or in the unfortunate event that your card does not work, they will confiscate your passport. I kid you not.
5. The rooms are old. The common bathroom in Room 307 has a cracked bathroom wall tile and it has roaches.
6. House keeping is available only to 5 PM and if you want to get your room cleaned after that, it is not happening that day. It will happen the next day. However, considering the climatic conditions in Dubai, evenings and nights are the best time to get out, in my humble opinion.
7. This hotel is for those who consider a stay at the hotel purely transactional. The absolute lack of human touch is glaring. Other staff like the travel desk and house keeping and security try and make up for it. But the front desk and the management leaves a lot to be desired.
8. Wifi : Had issues connecting to the wifi and it took at least 30 minutes to resolve. I would have overlooked this had it not been for the scene created by the front desk reception when I pointed out that the security deposit was not mentioned and I would give it to them when I return from a friends place in the evening. It was my first time in Dubai and did not know how much my travel to this friends place (about 20 minutes away) would take me. Did not want to pay them all the cash Inhad and set out with just the card.

Possible racial bias : Now, I would request visitors to read other comments too. If you notice most Non Asiatic people are happy. Bad reviews are mostly from Bharath and other Asiatic countries. I experienced racial bias here and Insuspect that there is a pattern.

Recommendation: Keep this property as an absolute last option when you are travelling with family.It is not a very friendly and welcoming place and it is not strategically placed either compared to other options available.

1. I did not protest. I only asked them time to sort out some issues with my bank card over a pin change. Would have paid in the evening itself after my pin was reset. But after that they never asked.

I recently stayed at AURIS Apartments and Hotel with my family in a 1-bedroom Deluxe Superior Apartment for 12 nights. The location in Al Barsha 1 is undoubtedly prime, providing easy access to the Mall of the Emirates, metro station, and an array of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The hotel staff, particularly TAJUL in housekeeping and DILISHUKA in reservations, were exceptionally helpful, making our stay pleasant and comfortable. However, despite the strong service from most of the team, the property shows its age, with dated facilities and a few maintenance issues that impacted the experience. Overall, the stay offered convenience and excellent service, but with some limitations in amenities and management responsiveness.

Pros:

Prime Location: Walking distance to Mall of the Emirates, Metro Station, with nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and essential amenities. Friendly and Helpful Staff: Room Service Excellence: TAJUL provided excellent room service, accommodating special requests even beyond regular duty hours. Reservation Assistance: DILISHUKA was very cooperative, helping us secure the best rates and providing a smooth reservation experience. Pool Lifeguard: The swimming pool was enjoyable, and the lifeguard was particularly attentive, especially with children. Nice Pool Area: Clean and maintained swimming pool, offering a family-friendly amenity for guests.

Cons:

Aged Facilities and Furniture: Reflective of a 2-3 star hotel experience due to dated and worn-out facilities. Broken Bathtub and Outdated Furniture: The bathtub had noticeable cracks, and the sofa was worn and outdated with cracked tires; some walls also showed minor cracks. Old Kitchen Appliances: The induction stove in the kitchen was scratched and outdated.

Lack of Management Support: Unaccommodating Manager: Mr. Gurpreet was argumentative and inflexible, charging AED 150 for a 3-hour early arrival despite us traveling with an infant, which detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.

No Kids’ Play Area: Lacks a play area or family-friendly facilities for children, which could be a drawback for families with young kids.

Overall Impression: A good option for those prioritizing location and service, with staff making the stay enjoyable, though the hotel’s dated facilities and lack of family-oriented amenities could impact comfort for...

The room was spacious enough for our family of four, with one bedroom featuring two beds and an extra bed added in the living room for the kids. The closet provided ample storage space. The living room was well-equipped with a dining table that comfortably seated 4 to 6 people, a couch, and a coffee table. Additionally, the room included a washing machine, iron, ironing board, drying rack, fridge, and microwave.||The hotel maintains a pleasant fragrance and is impeccably clean. It also demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability through its dedicated program.||Regarding breakfast beverages, the hotel offers orange juice and coffee. For those with children who prefer milk or hot chocolate, you may consider purchasing these items and storing them in the in-room refrigerator.||The hotel's location is highly convenient, being less than a 10-minute walk from the Mall of the Emirates and 5 stations from the Burj Khalifa/Dubai mall. Additionally, it is within walking distance of two metro stations on the red line. The surrounding area boasts numerous shops, including some that are open 24/7.||I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding service provided by the staff during our stay at Auris Boutique Hotel Dubai. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the professionalism and warmth of the team. Special thanks to the receptionists, coffee shop staff and cleaning team led by Tajul. Thank you also to the lifeguard for his vigilance and dedication to ensuring the safety of the kids at the pool.||The entire hotel staff demonstrated exceptional hospitality, making our stay both comfortable and memorable and we are grateful for their efforts.||We look forward to returning to Auris Boutique Hotel Dubai in the future and experiencing the same high...
