this hotel, really let’s call it what it really is- a motel, literally only exists for airport mess ups like cancelled or delayed flights. you can tell bc the rooms are only equipped with two TWIN beds (my 6.5 FT tall husband just LOVES having no room), it smells like sewage as soon as you open the door, you can tell they only serve free food per whatever contract they have with the airport bc there’s no real meat. they literally served a breakfast buffet with HOT DOGS, yes hot dogs!!! the tv is whatever basic local channels there are, and they will pressure you into using their bellhops but we literally ended up having to go down HOURS later to just get it ourselves so we could sleep in some sort of peace knowing at least our belongings were with us. the shower is straight out of a truck stop, the toilet barely flushes, AND last but certainly NOT least if you want to use your lights you have to leave your room key in this super weird slot or they will NOT turn on. and you can’t just swipe it and go on bc they will shut back off within a few minutes. this is by far the jankiest, crappiest hotel in dubai and of course their airport supports it in full. i had zero complaints about dubai until i was forced through this insane flight cancel situation. the airport is a joke. they are unorganized, know NOTHING, so don’t bother asking about any stores they claim to have nor for directions bc you will absolutely get a different response from every soul you speak to. these people are as lost as last years easter egg. and i fully knew this during the cancellation issues we had bc they knew nothing, sent us in a hundred different direction, and ultimately wasted 10 hours of our day. united will be hearing from me bc this is NOT how you treat your customers who paid good money for their flights and then had a cancellation. things do happen, but this place is the best yall can do?? yall should be ashamed. i certainly would be. this MOTEL doesn’t even deserve a star. the only positive it’s it’s so close that you can say forget their “free” transportation and afford to taxi bc it’s super close. also they offer free transportation and instead of it being first come first serve based on whose there they literally wait til everyone is at one spot then sent off highest class first based on the tickets. if you’re less than business, you may never even make it. this place is just awful, the airport is awful, and i truly wouldn’t recommend it to a soul. i’d recommend cancelling your entire itinerary and rebooking elsewhere bc they are NOT going to do right by you otherwise and at least if they cancelled the flight you can get your money back....

I stayed in this hotel due to a layover with Emirates on 4/19 to 4/20. As I checked in, I was sprayed a perfume by Osma on my wriest. I liked the scent of the perfume and decided to buy one.
I asked the vendor for a travel size and the vendor lied that full size can be checked in. Then, the vendor gave me a deal of buy 3 and get 2 free for $170 USD. I agreed to this. The manager steps in and started adding 1 more perfume calling if free. Then, a freshener saying it’s free. Then, in total 6 additional items saying it’s free. Elsayed Mohamed (Manager) covered the card scanner so I could not see the final price but I saw $300+ charged. The receipt they gave me I checked the next day and realized I was scammed. Then, they proceed to lie that all items from this booth are Duty Free and at the airport when I scan the receipt I would be refunded the balance. The perfume were not packed in a TSA Duty Free bag at all. He kept on spraying items in my hair when I told him to stop. Also varies types of perfumes on my wrist. He had no sense of consent or personal space.
I went straight to the Osma’s station to confront them around 6am. His sales man 1st acted dumb like he had no clue and he was there when I made the purchase. Then he asked what culture I belonged too trying to profile me. I told him I will call the cops and then he agreed that they did charge me for all of the items. Then, he told me he could not refund me without a manager. Later, gave me cash and he gave everything except for $6 USD dollar claiming that’s all he had in his bank account. He would not hand me the money and tired to only talk to my mom. My mom told him he had to hand me the money. Claiming I was talking too much when I was just stating facts.
Only 1 person from the hotel staff helped me and stepped in and called the manager. The manager never showed up to the site. The one resource that helped was walking around and his shift ended by 7am. Told the Osma staff to refund me. All the other staff were by standers. The Osma people were racist and fraud. When I was leaving I saw him give the next customer an offer of $60 for one and get one free.
As for the room, they were basic nothing fancy. The beds were average and the shower head was falling apart as I showered. The front desk was not welcoming and just to the point. They provide a shuttle from the hotel to the airport.

We had the opportunity to stay at the Millennium Copthorne Airport Hotel during a 12-hour layover at DXB, courtesy of Emirates airline. If you have a layover longer than 10 hours, you may be eligible for a complimentary hotel stay near the airport, which is a fantastic option to refresh and relax before your next flight. We were a group of three and were provided with two double bedrooms and a complimentary meal at the hotel restaurant.
Pros
• Rooms: The double bedrooms were spacious, comfortable, tidy, and well-organized. They seemed recently renovated, which added to the appeal. • Amenities: Rooms came equipped with a power outlet that included a USB slot, accommodating both US and standard plugs. Other amenities included a fridge, TV, and a safe box. • Bathroom: The bathroom was very spacious and clean, featuring a nice tub, a bidet, and even a telephone for added convenience. • Meal Service: The self-service meal was impressive. The salad bar offered a variety of fresh veggies, and the chicken and fish dishes were well-cooked, well-marinated, and flavorful. From the dessert bar, the crème caramel flan was my personal favorite. • Staff: The staff was incredibly efficient and helpful across the board—from the concierge and reception to the restaurant and shuttle services. • Additional Perks: The reception desk made an automated courtesy call to remind us of our flight, which was very thoughtful. The shuttle service, available every 10 minutes, was a huge convenience.
Cons
• Mattress & Pillows: The mattress was not as firm as I prefer, which caused some low back discomfort. The pillows were traditional, so if you’re used to ergonomic pillows with neck support, it’s best to bring your own. • Power Outlets: There was only one power outlet with a USB slot, and it was located by the window instead of near the beds, which was slightly inconvenient.
Overall
The Millennium Copthorne Airport Hotel is an impressive choice for a layover stay, offering essential amenities and comfort. The efficient services and quality of the stay made our journey much more tolerable and enjoyable. I’m grateful to Emirates for this thoughtful arrangement and would gladly return to this hotel...
