The hotel's recent change in ownership has resulted in a noticeable decline in the quality of service and overall experience. Despite having stayed there multiple times in the past, the recent stay revealed several issues and problems that were not present before.
However, there were two positive aspects to the stay. The location of the hotel is highly convenient, with easy access to the metro, the old town, and the bustling town center. Additionally, the proximity to the City Center Deira mall is a notable advantage, especially for those interested in shopping.
On the other hand, the low price point of the hotel may not justify the compromises in quality. The only staff member who provided exceptional service was the bell person or concierge named Goin, who demonstrated remarkable courtesy and professionalism. It is hoped that he will have a successful future, potentially outside of this particular hotel.
The disappointments encountered during the stay included worn-out room floors and walls, a non-functional safe box, and the absence of an iron and ironing board. Furthermore, the provision of soap, toilet paper, and towels was severely limited, even upon request. Several lights in the room and bathroom were not functioning, and there was water leakage from the shower into the bathroom without any floor mat or towel provided.
In conclusion, while the hotel's location and low price may appeal to some, the numerous issues and problems experienced during the stay significantly detract from the overall value and comfort of the establishment.
Persistent unpleasant odor in the bathroom due to the absence of a ventilation system. Accumulation of thick dust and dirt on window surfaces. Inadequate refrigeration facilities due to missing shelves in the refrigerator. Neglect and disuse of the surrounding swimming pool, resulting in its conversion into a storage area. Inoperable and empty small round pool or jacuzzi. Deteriorated condition of balcony restaurants above the lobby, resembling a war-torn state. Excessive noise from the nightclub, audible even on the ninth floor. Closure of the cafeteria located in the lobby. Inadequate and poorly maintained aquarium. Overpowering smell of cigarettes upon entering the lobby, causing discomfort. Unacceptable presence of a cockroach in the bathroom, posing health and safety concerns. Read moreI stayed here for 2 weeks, probably the worst place i stayed at, they will charge you if you ask them for more than 2 water bottles a day (dAiLy AlLoWaNcE iS 2 bOtTleS a DaY) yeh yeh ofcourse whatever. I booked a deluxe room before my stay and it is where i stayed like 12 days and then they transferred me to another room cuz they had “an inspection” going on, didn’t quite make sense and felt more like they just wanna kick me out the room. The room i was transferred to is referred to as a “Junior Suite”, and the plumbing in that room was absolutely a mess, the toilet flush kept pouring water for like 6 hours non-stop, the button gets jammed and wouldn’t work until it magically decides to start working again. Both rooms i have been to have tiny INSECTS all over them, you could find a bunch here or there or even flying ones too. The reception is very dark in the morning and despite that, they wouldn’t turn the lights on inside.
The staff is friendly and is good at communicating with people. That’s a positive.
The wooden wall and floor is chipped and you could find some old spider webs at the door frames.
Their choice of refrigerators is really really bad, if you decide to place your water bottles in the door then you should never expect them to stay at their place the next time you open that door. They’ll just fall off.
The spacious bathrooms are amazing though.
The location is great considering that Deira City Center is a 5 minute walk away from the place.
I didn’t strictly enjoy my stay over there, it wasn’t fun neither was it bad, it’s a place where you can just “stay”....
