New update of the review at the end. Im so glad i tried this restaurant & had a dine-in as well as take-out. They do not treat you like a customer but a special guest. Their service is so classy and top class, from welcoming to taking an order, from their serving till exiting, they give you attention and never disappoint you, well mannered and highly qualified, top notch trained staff and most of all, very neat and clean. Perfect ambiance, so relaxing and they make you feel like at home. Prices are reasonable and not too expensive, tastes are fantastic. We ordered chicken madhbee and madfoon, chicken was fresh and really big pieces which is great, it didn't had that bad smell of chicken which is a plus point, high quality rice, each dish had enough amount of rice for 2 person, chicken was soft and juicy, everything served fresh, comes with complimentary soup and special thick tomato chutney which had an amazing taste. They also provided salad which was fresh, the amount was good. Every few minutes the waiter kept coming, we never needed to call by our self, he kept coming to check and provide extra rice or even a soup, it was always the same waiter which shows uniqueness cauz different waiter every few minutes is not a good presentation. After we were done, the way the waiter took back the plates and other pots, he cleaned in such a way which really showed their style, class & the cleanliness, thumbs up for the waiters. For every new customer, a new plastic is ready from before on the table, once your done with your food, they wrap it at the end in a very clean way. I was surprised again that in just a few seconds the same waiter came and served another complimentary, fresh and delicious dessert with date & sugar syrup, plus lots of coffee and tea that tasted perfect. Im very happy with their quality service, presentation, style & cleanliness. I will definitely go again with my family. Even while exiting they greeted and showed a great respect. We Fantastically were both, welcomed & exited. 5 star restaurant, would always recommend it. I just pray that their service and taste of the food always remains the same, like how i visited this time. A big thumbs up to them. UPDATE- Lately their service has been average, not as it was before, they have changed alot, the classy service isn't anymore, in addition their rice sometimes isn't fresh, also tried the take out but the speciality of mandi rice with the onions & some other stuff at times are missing, they serve the rice without that, which is mainly the speciality found in mandi rice, so alot has changed. Quite...
Read moreZamzam Mandi is an exceptional destination for anyone who appreciates authentic Arabian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and friendly staff set the tone for an amazing dining experience. The star of the show here is undoubtedly their incredible food, which is prepared with care, attention to detail, and authentic flavors.
The mutton haneeth ribs are a standout dish. Cooked to perfection, the ribs are tender, juicy, and infused with a blend of spices that make every bite memorable. The meat falls off the bone effortlessly, and the rich, smoky flavor is something I’ve yet to find elsewhere. Pairing it with their well-cooked rice only enhances the experience.
Another must-try dish is the mutton madghout. The rice is fragrant and perfectly spiced, while the mutton is soft, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. The combination of the two creates a dish that feels both hearty and refined. It’s the kind of food that makes you slow down and savor every bite.
What truly sets Zamzam Mandi apart is not just the food but the entire dining experience. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave fully satisfied. The staff is attentive, ensuring every need is met promptly, and the atmosphere is welcoming for families, friends, or even solo diners.
To top it all off, the meal is beautifully concluded with a complementary serving of mint tea and a sweet treat. The tea is refreshing and calming, leaving you with a sense of satisfaction and a desire to return.
Overall, Zamzam Mandi delivers on all fronts—amazing food, great service, and a memorable experience. It’s a place I’ll happily return to and recommend to anyone looking for a true taste of Arabian hospitality...
Read moreAn honest review of Zam Zam Restaurant. Overrated. Nice ambiance, but the food does not reflect a true Yemeni taste.
The chicken mandi was just ok, nothing special. The rice is not that flavorful. Pretty bland and you need to add the sauce to have some flavour.
The chicken, although soft and tender, is not well seasoned. The soup also does not have that thick sourish kick. Instead is a diluted version of the original Yemeni soup.
Set also comes with a plate of fresh vegetables as sides. But, without the fresh chilis. As a replacement, the restaurant provides a small cup of fried chilli paste. Spicy, but does not go very well with the rice.
This restaurant is usually patronized by tourists and foreigners. I don't think the local Emiratis would eat at this restaurant as there are many other authentic Yemeni restaurants around Dubai.
Price wise, it is on the mid and higher range. The chicken mandy is approximately 5 dirhams more expensive than the normal Yemeni restaurant.
It is likely that the cook is not from Yemen. As the kitchen is visible from the dining area, I can see that most of the staffs are Asians.
Some good points about this restaurant. Its clean, has good service and nice food presentation. Food is served in a covered traditional steel plate. Staffs are professional and helpful. Service time is less than 10 minutes. Food comes in big portion. A plate of 1/4 chicken mandi can be shared by two adults.
Frankly, I don't think this restaurant is worth another visit because I have tasted better and cheaper Yemeni food out...
