
Visited Carlisle store with daughter on Remembrance Sunday morning. Waited close to checkout whilst daughter joined queue of about a dozen people. There was a disabled till at front with an elderly couple waiting to be served. Lady had walking stick & obviously using disabled facility so she did not have to stand for long. A supervisor stood beside this till but there was no cashier to serve them. As the main queue got longer, more cashiers were called to assist the existing three already serving. They all walked past the disabled till to the main tills. The supervisor still stood by and looked at the couple still waiting to be served, the gentleman looking rather agitated at the wait. As all the main tills now had cashiers the supervisor walked off and brought back a girl to finally man the disabled till. By this time, my daughter had reached the till beside them, been served and was leaving the checkout area. The elderly couple had only just started to be served. My observations from this episode are: why have a fast track disabled till if nobody is prepared to man it; why did the supervisor not direct an incoming cashier straight to the disabled till; why did the supervisor not take the initiative and serve the couple immediately they arrived at the till instead of just standing there looking at them?

TOTAL LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HER!!
Chris said there would be no issues when exchanging a pair of xmas slippers that was too small as a present.
HOWEVER, when we initially approached a member of staff, she was reluctant and said we could not exchange without a receipt.
Explained that it was a present from my sister in law for my wife who lived over 300 miles away. AND ONLY AGREED TO CALL A MANAGER WHEN WE SAID WE WANTED TO COMPLAIN!!
BUT, due to Chris's great service, my wife paid extra for a more expensive pair of slippers and bought additional items.
Lesson to be leant, have an open mind and compromise rather than shut down a customer on initial contact!!

I had receipt for others and they were exchanged. after telling this lady that i had travelled 70 mile to exchange all i got was company policy!! I am back home with unwanted goods that were for my holiday this weekend. most unhappy with the service and this particulary grumpy woman.
