I was at the Beach with wife and kids (7 daughters and 2.5 years son).. there is a small ice cream shop there.. we waited patiently for more then 25 minutes as they were serving a larger family. My kids asked for ice cream before we left home, they were tired ,so we waited. A young lady came outside and said they are closing in 5 minutes..A man waiting behind me came up to the counter and requested the lady that we were waiting for nearly 20-25 minutes in Q. She then served one 2 small families before us and when my turn came she refused to served us .. we told her still there are 2 minutes left , and we were quick..and she can’t close as we were the last 2 customers ,the rest she can excuse.. The lady didn’t have any compassion for even the kids. She was so rude that he even mention that we can go and complaint to the management if we want , but she can’t served and pulled the shutter on us. The lady on the TILL showed compassion but not this arrogant girl. You shouldn’t employee people who don’t have compassion for service.
Thanks you.. I am Food and beverage manager.. please train your staff to be humble, polite and compassionate..she ruined the whole experience for my kids. Shame on you I...
Read moreIt’s like walking into the set of ‘The Hills Have Eyes’ The (probably from the same gene pool) staff are dirty, smelly, rude and should not be working with the general public whatsoever. The place is full of outdated, rigged machines which are filthy! Some pay out with tickets which can be redeemed in their ‘shop’ - a mere 25 tickets for a SINGLE 1p sweet!?! How this place is allowed to trade is beyond me, I’m certain the Gambling Commission would shut them down in a heartbeat. Don’t waste your money here. Visit one of Bournemouth's many independent attractions and give them your business instead. Your kids...
Read moreA shadow of its former self. Less than a tenth of the building is used for arcade machines, and the rest is closed off. The selection of games is moribund even compared to the arcade on the end of the pier, consisting mostly of ticket machines rather than traditional old-school arcade cabinets.
Very disappointing to see a seaside tradition die out like this, but unsurprising given the general death of traditional arcades.
Kids will probably get a kick out of some of the machines for a couple of minutes, but grown-ups looking to revisit their youth will find nothing...
