FADE Bournemouth — Attraction in England

Just wanted to leave this review as I feel like this place deserves it. So me and my partner have been looking around for decent barbers for a while and came across this place on google when typing in 'hairdressers in bournemouth' we are unsure at first due to being let down by 3 barbers in different shops before but after the first cut we had it was just amazing. The atmosphere in the shop is great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to their customers. They make sure you are hydrated when entering the store and very professional with their customers. They always ask to take your coats and hang them up safely and also giving you a hot towel after the cut which is great customer service. The price for the cut is reasonable because you feel safe and you know that the staff are professionals so you are going to get the best value for money. They never rush the cut, they take time and work to perfection. Me and my partner have been very lucky to have a bond with one of the staff members there Georgia. Since day one she has cut our hair to how we want it without hesitation and we are very grateful for her passion. She's been a star and she's made us feel really comfortable. She came in on her day off last week to cut our hair especially as we were graduating. That's customer service for you. So yeah I would recommend this place and give it 6 stars if I could. I have been in pretty much every barbers in Bournemouth town and this place has to be the best , not just for customer service but for the hair...

I Booked an appointment at this place on their online service, but I received a call on the day of the appointment from China saying “We’ve had loads of cancellations, can we move you forward as it’s going to cost more to keep the shop open as there are loads of cancellations!” Being a reasonable person I agreed to move the appointment forward to 13:00, and China agreed for me to have a free hair wash as a gesture of good will. At 12:59 I arrived and I only sat down for my haircut at 13:13, not a good start!

I work for a company who had an agreement of 20% off on haircuts at this place, I had used this discount for the last 3 or 4 times I’d been there, but this time when doing this I got told by China (One of the barbers) “No, that was only supposed to be for 1 haircut, our boss asked why it was down and we told everyone we weren’t offering the discount any longer.” She said this whilst smiling and doing a fake laugh like chuckling to try and take the edge off the message she was delivering! The guy who cut my hair was great, the haircut great, customer service out of 10…. -10, on top of this my hair wash wasn’t offered to me.

Clearly companies weren’t told that the discount was pulled otherwise I would know, and if I wanted to pay £18 for my haircut I would fly to Madrid and use Ronaldo’s private barber!

Went in today, wanting the whole tapering. The nice towel, the nice treatment. I’m growing out the sides of my hair and stuff so maybe a trim around the ears. I also wanted it properly styled because I canny get my hair the way I want it.

So pretty much I went in and the guy was sound, asked me how my day was asking me what the craic is and all. So I told him what I want done to my beard, the whole reason I was in there was for my beard. Right enough it’s not a good beard, but it’s my beard. So I was expecting like this tapering done all the lines and stuff but what I got was ... a chinstrap with a bloody gotie. My face looks so round it could have rolled off my head and went to a different hairdressers.

I was thinking to myself it’s okay cos they probably do student rates or somthing and it’ll be grand, it’ll be cheap. After all I didn’t get tapering done, I didn’t get a full blown towel blowdry and stuff I got the bare minimum.... £23 pound... 23 pound. I could buy three 10 packs of dark fruits for that !! I’m a student too, I live of penny’s. So when I finally save up to treat myself. I get a chinstrap and a boot up the hole.

Not entirely annoyed at the fella who done it or anything because it’s done now and theirs nothing I can do about it. I’m astounded by the price and the fact I didn’t get what I want. Maybe they didn’t understand my accent...
