I visited here today wed 17th oct, 2 staff were working, 1 older woman with short blond hair and one younger lad with dark floppy hair. When ordering at the till I enquired if they sold coconut milk, they both looked at each other really confused. The lad went over to the fridge and looked at the soya and almond milk really puzzled. I said it was ok and that i would have soya as I was only having a flat white anyway. The woman question me on why I didn't drink cows milk and if coconut milk was the only think i drank at home as it must be discusting before then informing me she was a full on meat eater. I smiled and said I used to think the same thing but then I tried it at costa and really like it and its more animal friendly. This is when the lad piped up. Telling me how annoying his vegan friends were and that he tried vegan food once and never again. He then asked me if I ate any dairy, I said yes sometimes I will eat cheese, he replied "oh well, consistancy then eh" now at no point did I or have I ever said I was vegan, I am not a preacher of what I do and don't eat yet this lad carried on having more and more digs. How dare he, surely these staff should just keep their opinions to themselves instead of interrigating me and trying to make me feel stupid. And if all of this wasnt bad enough the lad then went onto to serve my partner who suffers with rosacea - which is brought out with caffeine - a caffinated drink when she specifically asked for decaf. What an awful experience, she drank her drink, (before realising it was caffeine) I had a little bit of mine and left a very...
Read moreI went in with my daughter on my birthday for a lunch treat before going for cake and shopping. We ordered drinks with a panini and toastie. Drinks where made and We were directed to a table after been given a raffle ticket ( order number ) my cuppa was warm but not boiling and so i could only add a little milk or it would of been cold. When food arrived it was well presented with sides of salad,,coleslaw and tortilla chips. My daughters panini was hot and well toasted but my toastie wasn't crispy , as it was very thick bread it had toasted on the outside but inside was still like bread and the onion was still raw and cheese not melted much and lukewarm . With been in a rush we didn't bother saying anything as we didn't have time to sort it out. Might have another visit but it wasnt busy so no reason it should be cold. Maybe they should use...
Read moreWe went to take a seat in the outside area with my family, I had my 7nyear old daughter and 11 month old son who needed a feed at the time. We took a seat out of the way from everybody else and noticed we were being stared at by a member of staff from inside the cafe. This member of staff had then approached us and asked if there was anything she could do for us. We politely asked if it was okay just to take a seat whilst we feed our baby before we ordered a coffee. The member of staff told us we couldn't sit here and asked us to leave the premises without any real explanation. We left with no hassle, but left us struggling to find a place to sit to feed our baby. Outrageous behavior and would not recommend the place. Quite clear the message is money first over...
