Magic Wok — Attraction in Great Britain

This place looks just like a take away from the outside but we discovered that they have a small amount of seating at the back of the shop where you can eat in. The staff were friendly and helpful and service was quick. The menu is varied with lots to choose from and it was possibly the best Cantonese/Chinese food we have eaten in a loooooong time. We had veg foo yung, chicken fried rice, plain chow mein, sweet chilli chicken, salt and pepper chips and sweet and sour sauce and all shared and it was absoutely delicious. The food wasn't overly greasy and the portions were huge so you got a lot for your money. My only criticism of the place and the reason i can't give it 5 stars is for 2 things - it could really do with a fresh coat of paint as the whole place looks really tired and the drinks were extortionately overpriced which was a shame. This place is truly amazing.

In all honesty, I've came back to this place time after time, this is my third time returning. The food quality is of a high standard and the taste is delicious. The owner of this establishment is very polite and welcoming. And I am all for supporting local businesses, in the past I've ordered a set meal and the waiting time was in the access of one hour and 40 minutes as the demand is extremely high. I waited in my vehicle outside and the gentleman came out and noticed myself waiting in the car, he proceeded to hurry the chef along and make my order faster than the time agreed, which was a very nice thing to do considering it was a Saturday evening . Chose this place based on reviews and was not disappointed. It was a Friday night in August. Tried to call them but no-one picked up so walked there as only two minutes away. Arrived and the restaurant area was full, and a few people were waiting for take-away orders. There were a few people behind the counter but only one was taking all orders, so no wonder my call wasn't picked up. He was very pleasant and said our order would be ready in 40 minutes, understandable as this place is very busy, mainly because there are not many take away restaurants in this area.
