My team mates and I went to this place today for lunch after reserving a table for 5 people. When we arrived we were shown to a pair of tables which had been pushed together. To be honest, the table wasn't big enough for us and 3 of us ended up squeezed in together. I think this was further reaffirmed by the table next to us, also with 5 people and the same set up - 2 small tables pushed together. The last guy came in late and when he arrived the first thing he said to his friends was "You guys booked the wrong size table".

Apart from this, I was very, very happy with both the food and the service. The waitress was really friendly, the food came in good time and it all tasted delicious! We shared the mezze between 4 of us whilst the 5th person decided to have her own starter. I followed this up with the halloumi burger and sweet potato fries. The food portions were very generous but more importantly, everything tasted really, really good.

In short, the only downside to this place was that they put us on too small a table. Apart from that, it was all a really great experience and I would definitely...

The Refinery CityPoint — Chic, Social, and Surprisingly Versatile Located just steps from Moorgate station, The Refinery CityPoint is a sleek all-day bar and restaurant that blends contemporary design with casual sophistication. Whether you're popping in for breakfast, hosting a business lunch, or winding down with cocktails, it adapts effortlessly to the moment.

Atmosphere: Expect statement wallpaper, soft lighting, and faux fur accents that give the space a warm, modern vibe. It’s stylish without being stiff — perfect for both weekday meetings and after-work mingling. The sunken lounge and alfresco terrace (complete with a pizza oven in summer) add extra charm.

Food & Drink: The menu leans international, with British and European influences. Think scotch eggs, vegan burgers, bangers and mash, and seasonal salads. Quality is solid, though desserts can be hit-or-miss. Cocktails are well-crafted, and the wine list includes some pleasant surprises — including orange wine and...

I went to taste the film to watch scream at the refinery citypoint bar and found the customer service distasteful. Initially, I was sat at dirty sofa with food crumbs from previous customers. Then noticed every table having bottled water or tap water except mine. Then I was given chicken burger and fries and had no issues with it as I placed it on my plate to eat it. The manager came up to me and told me he had a vegan burger for me which I didn't request. I assumed he meant he will give me a second meal but instead took my burger away and gave me a vegan one. I just want to add that I had touched the burger and put it on my plate. My assumption is they ran out of meals and wanted to give a chicken burger to someone else and took it straight from my plate. I have ate at many places and have never experienced this. As I wanted non alcoholic drinks, they served me two drinks that tasted the exact same instead of two separate drinks. For the price I didn't expect to be...

Pleasant, food was ok but I wouldn’t say it was great. However, this was based on just the nibbles as we wanted a lightish meal. I do love a scotch egg but when it looks like it got chopped and further grilled making the egg less runny it makes a massive (downhill) difference. Platter was a pretty penny for a mediocre set of skewers - this is in taste and presentation. Would have given a 2 star but feeling generous as I did very much enjoy the Dandelion & Burdock Soda (zero proof) and Lavender & Violet Fizz (alcoholic).

I came here for the TasteFilm Dirty Dancing screening by myself. Firstly, the staff were so welcoming and guided me to my table. They went over dietary requirements and made sure everything was set. The timing of the food and drink were spot on with the scenes, and it was cute having a menu too which showed what I was eating/drinking and when to expect it. The atmosphere was relaxed and I had enough room on the table and on my sofa. Highly recommended and I can't wait to visit again in September!

I came for taste film - home alone. Overall great experience and concept which was well executed. A few dishes were great (first “milk” cocktail, Mac&cheese) but the pizza was disappointing (soggy and lacking flavour) and the candy-cane cocktail was overly sweet to the point that nobody in my group could finish drinking it. I would come again though, the experience and friendliness of the team still made it worth it to me. They also did a great job accommodating my friend with celiac.
