THIS IS A BAD REVIEW FROM FIRST EVER VISIT …… I visited Disney store for first time as a customer when I attended for a job interview there on Thursday 5TH.September 2024 at 2P.M.but I was made to feel uncomfortable from time I entered the store by staff and security.
Firstly I arrived early smartly dressed in tie shirt formal trousers black shoes well presented and I presented documentary proof for the interview and proof of who I am to staff. Management then kept me waiting for 20 minutes as they had overrun previous interviews.
I am a personable confident person and confident at interviews with sixteen years work experience but I felt extremely uncomfortable as the interview conducted by the store manageress and the head of security felt like a police investigation disciplinary such was the uncomfortable manner the store conducted it. They glared at my face hostilely hatefully intimidatingly and horribly throughout as if I was some grotesque freak whose face they felt would NOT literally fit working at this store and a fague person despite my extensive experience and powerful answers. Infact head of security noticed that my answers were so incisive that I was answering follow up questions before follow up questions had been asked. This is far from being “fague” as Disney concluded for not recruiting me. This causes low confidence and humiliation as bullies know. Is this the way Disney really treats customers when others are not around to witness and report???
My proud sixteen years work experience was doubted too and I knew they would not be recruiting me but they gave some rubbish reason for not recruiting me saying I was fague at interview. Then sent on shop floor as they requested me to conduct store security survey as part of interview I was followed around and approached by staff and security who were suspicious of me. Interview resumed and staff interrupted to report me as suspicious to management and management did not explain to staff who I was and the reason I was on shop floor. It made me feel guilty as if I am a thief uncomfortable and harassed for no reason. The head of security still glaring at my face like I was a grotesque freak then had the odasity to question if I would feel comfortable working in a retail environment dealing with customers when he and the store manageress knew full well I have worked in retail all my life. I have been security man for 16 years dealing with the worst excesses of human nature detaining violent offenders one minute then delivering excellent customer service the next minute like helping old people or assisting customers in various customer service enquiries with excellent professionalism and excellent flexibility.
I am not surprised Disney Store is short staffed with such management unprofessionalism and intimidation. I have a video of that interview which clearly shows such management behaviour which I may share on social media if rights allow to expose such store management behaviour.
I am an experienced retail staff with plenty to offer but I would NOT be visiting this store again though like other people I am a fan of Marvel/Disney heroes.
Terrible horrible humiliating first ever visit experience at Disney Store who unfortunately I have to give some star here according to Google Maps reviews criteria though I would rather NOT star this store at all from an UNIMPRESSED first ever visit.
Aim of this review is not to mourn Disney rejecting me at interview but; to highlight forms of discrimination companies like Disney practice as in deliberately humiliating interviewees in this case because of how interviewees look for example then denying it which affects self confidence and can have long term negative confidence issues for not only interviewees but staff and customers who may not feel it necessary to report such treatment from such like The Disney Company eversince it’s foundation by brothers Walt and Oliver Disney in 1923. An everlasting bad customer/interviewee experience on first ever visit to Disney Store thanks to Disney...

From the moment you see the iconic castle-inspired entrance, you’re swept into a world of enchantment. The store is beautifully designed, bursting with vibrant displays, twinkling lights, and beloved characters everywhere—perfect for kids and nostalgic adults alike.
The staff here truly embody Disney’s legendary hospitality. They’re friendly, helpful, and even dressed in themed outfits that add to the fun atmosphere. Whether you’re hunting for limited-edition merch, classic Mickey Mouse plushies, or the latest Frozen or Star Wars gear, the selection is incredible. I loved the exclusive London-themed Disney items (Big Ben Mickey ears, anyone?), which make for unforgettable souvenirs.
The store is spacious, but it does get busy—arrive early to avoid crowds. Prices are what you’d expect for official Disney merch, but the quality and uniqueness justify it for special treats.
Located in the heart of shopping central, it’s a must-visit whether you’re a die-hard Disney fan or just passing by. Perfect for gifting, treating yourself, or soaking up the joy. A sprinkle of pixie dust in the middle of London! Highly...
