Embarking on an Uber Boat from the Greenwich Pier proved to be a delightful and memorable experience. It offered an excellent and cost-effective alternative for exploring the iconic landmarks of London from the river's perspective.
From the moment I stepped on board, I was greeted with a comfortable, warm and friendly atmosphere. The cruise provided a unique vantage point to admire the city's architectural marvels and historic sites. As we glided along the Thames, I was treated to breathtaking views of renowned landmarks such as the Canary Wharf skyscrapers, Tower Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, financial district, the City, and the London Eye. The perspective from the water gave me a fresh appreciation for the city's beauty and grandeur.
It provided an accessible option for travelers in wheelchairs, families with small kids or people looking to experience London's highlights without breaking the bank. The convenience of hopping on and off at various piers allowed me to customize my itinerary and explore different parts of the city at my own pace.
Overall, the cruise is a highly recommended experience for visitors to London. It offers a unique way to witness the city's landmarks from the river, providing an unforgettable perspective that complements the traditional sightseeing options. Whether you're a tourist or a local looking to rediscover the city, this cruise is an excellent choice to immerse yourself in London's beauty...
Read moreBe mindful if you come here on a beautiful day that happened to be weekend or during summer in general. The queue can be over an hour long, the ferry is often delayed. And depends on your luck, some pier staff may be ok some are just so rude and have ‘ I don’t want to be here’ on their face & kept on providing false information about the ferry - and you had to ask otherwise he would only tell you to wait, and when approached and queried after the previous information was obviously misleading, and also don’t matched with online tracking tools, he simply didn’t answer the query. The boat itself has very little air movement unless you seat at the far back (was full throughout my trip). The window is brown and dirty so forget about sight seeing or photo. The queue might be shorter on a bad weather day- but then do you want to get on the ferry?! It’s...
Read moreHop aboard the riverboat at the London Eye and enjoy a voyage through history - past the Tate, the Globe, St Paul’s, the Shard, under Tower Bridge (absolutely stunning close up) and Canary Wharf- it’s like your ideal A-Z of London on old Father Thames himself:-)
Arrival at Greenwich is fascinating- try people watching with the backdrop of the Naval College (far grander than Buck Pal!!), visit the market for some unique shopping and some ‘proper’ pubs for a pie and a pint. The foot tunnel is also recommended- completely bizarre- it’s like the tube without any trains!!
The trip back on the boat always seems quicker on the way back and I shared it with some workers returning home- imagine that for your daily commute each day (far more fun than the 1715...
