Simply awful. A disgrace. 14 years experience working in hospitality, and I can safely say this was of the worst, most disorganised, most shambolic food experiences I've had anywhere. Came with eight friends, for early drinks and pizza. We had booked weeks ago. Simple and easy in a half empty pizza restaurant? Wrong. I arrived some 10 minutes after my friends. The music is so loud my ears hurt due to the speaker distortion and I can't hear the person next to me. I ask them to turn it down. Was met with a yes, but not the welcoming kind. I order a single beer upon arrival. Some colleagues ordered some more at the same time. After 30 minutes - nothing had arrived. I reminded the bar staff. Nothing. I reminded them again, half came, half didn't. Now 45 minutes after ordering a drink, and I still can't get a single beer. One final reminder, and a single drinks order has happened successfully. The 'barman' is now having a full on strop very publicly - not okay. We order some sharing starters and pizzas. The first starter arrives alone - a single burrata alone on the table for 15 minutes before anything else comes. The remaining trickle out. Time for pizzas. Half arrive 15 minutes before the others. We start, there isn't enough cutlery to go around. We ask for more forks. Two come. We ask for more forks, another comes. We ask for more knives, the simply don't come. Not ideal for pizza that hasn't been cut in the kitchen. We share knives. This is now a farce. The 'barman' brings over a lemonade no-one ordered, gives us some attitude for a drink we didn't order that he brought, storms off, slams the lemonade on the bar and tantrums into the kitchen. The lack of professionalism is startling - in any environment - let alone in a small customer facing front of house role. We order three more beers. You bet - the were forgotten... again. Another 20 minute wait for a drink while the barman is stropping behind the bar. Go to the toilet while I'm waiting to stumble across the cutlery I couldn't get for my meal. It's stacked high in a plastic tub, on the floor, in the hallway en route to the customer toilets left alone next to a lift. This is now disgusting. We are all now simply beside ourselves at how poor the most simple communication is. We wait another 25 minutes for an affogato (espresso and ice cream), and two tiramisu. The former was 'forgotten', the latter was simply not tiramisu - it was awful. And for the priviledge, we pay £30 of service charge on a £350 bill. Absurd. Honestly, a total catastrophe. Could not recommend this 'restaurant' any less. An abomination to the basic principles of customer service and to the food industry as a whole - and a perfect example of a chain franchise that has absolutely zero brand standards. Put simply - go to Franco Manca.

Completely overrated, probably one of the most uncultured pizzerias in the city. The pizza base was stodgy and the crust was doughy. When I think of Neapolitan pizza I think of crust that bounces back when squeezed but this one clumped together like a depressed blob. The burrata was the worst I’ve ever had at any restaurant. It wasn’t creamy at all and what came out looked like dry cottage cheese. The pizza wasn’t bad by any means, but it wasn’t good either. It certainly didn’t warrant the prices that they were charging. The only saving grace was artichoke fritti that were pleasant. Service needed to be worked on, when one of the appetisers that we ordered two of arrived we were handed it with two dips. The server should’ve explained that one dip was for the pizza and the other portion was coming as it created confusion and trying to call someone over to ask what was up was virtually impossible. The same thing happened when calling someone over for the bill, the staff weren’t all that attentive as you’d expect from a restaurant in central London. If you want a chain stick to franco manco, if you want quality at a good price go to rudys

EDIT REGARDING REPLY: We were not offered any dessert nor have been apologised to. The waitresses that were on break took orders of other people immediately before us being sat down and it does not change the fact that we were sat for 10 minutes without being served by anyone. I have social anxiety and when the staff are rude already I am not able to ask for help or directions for hidden accessibility aids. Lovely food but staff were rude. Not an accessible venue. Waitresses preferred taking selfies and sitting on their phone instead of taking our order, forgot our drinks and were generally unpleasant. I'd understand forgetting drinks if the restaurant was busy but there were only two other occupied tables in the entire establishment. You have to sit upstairs and it's quite a climb if you struggle. The bathrooms are difficult to enter due to even more stairs. Both have quite ruined the atmosphere for me even if the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous especially when the sun hits the all around windows. Food was as amazing and delicious as always.

My friend and I were in and out of this place in no less than, basically, five minutes. Why? Because the customer service, from the time we entered the restaurant to the moment we decided to leave, was demonstrably deplorable. The waitress who spoke to, and subsequently seated, us did so in a manner which you just cannot excuse when you're a customer just trying to dine at an establishment.

Having now read some previous reviews, from an unfortunate few who also experienced such interactions with some of the employees here, it is very clear that the customer service you experience when entering this particular branch is completely and utterly mood dependent on the waiter/waitress you just so happen to encounter on any given second/minute/hour/day/month/year - i.e it is, pretty much, beyond your entire control what type of service you'll actually receive as soon as you enter through their doors. And the, expected, basic and professional customer service is apparently just a random virtue that is both reserved for, and bestowed upon, the (e)specially chosen.

*Important to add that this review is entirely a reflection of the beyond poor and inexcusable rude, cold and uninviting experience we had at this particular branch. We had dined before at a different branch (Euston) prior to this dire experience and that was...

I visited Pizza Pilgrims with 7 friends for bottomless brunch, and let me tell you, it was an experience we won't soon forget! From the moment we stepped foot inside this pizza paradise, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm.

The bottomless brunch option offered an incredible array of delights, with the pepperoni pizza emerging as the clear favorite among our group. Each slice was a masterpiece of flavor, with the perfect combination of crispy crust, savory sauce, and generous toppings leaving us craving more.

But it wasn't just the pizza that stole the show; Pizza Pilgrims also offered bottomless sparkling wine and beer, ensuring that our glasses were never empty as we indulged in this culinary extravaganza.

Our experience was further enhanced by the stellar service provided by Stella. Her friendly demeanor and impeccable attention to detail made us feel like VIP guests, and her recommendations only added to the delight of our dining experience.

In summary, Pizza Pilgrims delivered a bottomless brunch experience that exceeded all expectations. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or simply looking for a memorable meal with friends, Pizza Pilgrims is the place to be. Don't miss out on this...
