First of all, I want to make it clear that I did NOT use this company. I was using GOBOAT but felt strongly about posting about the London Waterbus Company.
I feel compelled to share my deeply disturbing experience. We were using GoBoat, with both adults and children onboard. The events that unfolded during our trip have left us utterly shaken, and it is with great concern that I write this review, urging others to exercise caution when considering using London Waterbus Company.
As we were enjoying our canal trip, unfortunate circumstances led to our (much smaller) boat losing power and being positioned on the left-hand side, clearly indicating our immobility. Realizing our situation, we promptly called for assistance, hoping for a timely resolution.
To our dismay, as we anxiously awaited help, one of the boats operated by the London Waterbus Company emerged from a tunnel. The driver clearly saw us, yet instead of exhibiting empathy and caution, he chose to accelerate and deliberately rammed the front of his boat into ours (much smaller boat). The impact was forceful and unexpected, causing immense shock and disbelief among everyone on board.
In the aftermath of this appalling incident, we were left in a state of complete shock. The driver's only response was callous and devoid of any remorse. He callously stated, "You were on the wrong side," without offering a sincere apology or even ensuring the well-being of the children on our boat. Without pause, he sped off, leaving us bewildered and vulnerable.
The passengers on the driver's boat were equally horrified by his reckless actions. It became abundantly clear that this company has little regard for the individuals they employ and the safety of those they interact with. This collision had the potential to cause severe harm or even claim lives.
It is disheartening to witness such blatant negligence and lack of compassion from a company that should prioritize passenger safety and well-being above all else. I strongly caution against using the services of this company and implore others to seek alternative operators who prioritize safety and exhibit professionalism throughout their operations.
Please think twice before entrusting your safety to a company that clearly demonstrates a disregard for the safety of others.
REPLY TO COMPANY"S REPLY:
Firstly, we would like to clarify that the person in charge of our boat holds a boating license and is well-trained in operating vessels.
However, we must respectfully disagree with the version of events you have presented. The circumstances leading up to it differ significantly from your account.
Contrary to your statement, our boat was not blocking the exit path from the tunnel. We were a considerable distance away from the tunnel entrance, providing ample room for maneuvering. Even if there was any confusion or lack of visibility, it would have been reasonable for your boat to stop or for the captain to warn us verbally or through appropriate signals. Instead, we were deliberately targeted and struck head-on by your boat, into our side. Furthermore, we must clarify that your mention of a "nudge" is inaccurate. The impact was far more severe than a mere nudge. Your employee accelerated, turned directly toward us, and intentionally rammed into our boat, endangering the safety of all onboard, including children. Regarding your BoatMaster's report and the videos taken by your passengers, we would appreciate it if you could provide us with the reference number of the Marine Investigation report. This will enable us to share the information with the appropriate authorities and ensure a thorough investigation into the incident. Additionally, we find it concerning that your boat did not pull over or take any immediate action after the collision. As we take this matter very seriously, we have already reported the incident to the police. We kindly request that you share the video footage with us, as it will be valuable evidence in the ongoing...

Brief Story of Regent's Canal In 1812, The Regent's Canal was planned & built to create a link between the Grand Junction Canal's Paddington Arm (now known as Little Venice) to the River Thames at Limehouse Basin. Once opened for business, the Regent's Canal became one of the most successful canal routes, together with the Grand Junction Canal and the associated routes to the Midlands and north, carrying huge quantities of timber, coal, building materials and foodstuffs into and...
Read moreRecently we took your canal waterbus from Camden Markets back to Little Venice. Elliot’s care and consideration were way beyond our expectations. He saw us waiting in the rain and immediately offered us the opportunity to board early so we would be sheltered and then helped me get into the boat safely, as the steep steps were difficult for me. His commentary was interesting, full of interesting information with humour and fun asides to lighten it all. I especially loved hearing that we were actually going over the original London Cricket Ground, as I always thought that was Lords. The informational insights about the narrow boats permanently moored along the way was fabulous. His ability to speak in Spanish to others taking the boat was also done fluently and in turn with English. The trip was over too soon, his help to navigate the steps was given without request and he ensured we were all good and knew where to go.Captain Matt ensured we had a smooth...
