Came in to request the morning after pill. The lady on the desk looked around 50/55 years old with a purple bob, was rude to me. I requested to speak to a pharmacist first before revealing any information of what I needed. As I wanted to maintain some level of privacy as there were other people in the queue who could hear me. And the lady was asking me questions such as “why do you need to speak to a pharmacist” and “what is it for” I didn’t really feel comfortable telling her due to the sensitivity of the situation and I felt very overwhelmed and upset already. She had no respect for my privacy and made it very obvious to everyone else in the queue what was happening. After being forced to tell her what I needed (ella one pill) to speak to the pharmacist about She then said in a harsh tone “we don’t give them out for free here”. I wasn’t asking if they were free or not and was more than happy to pay for it however I felt so inferior and unwelcome. She wasn’t even able to get a pharmacist to come and help me and told me to find another pharmacy without telling me where I could go. As a young woman who was seeking help from another woman and some advice I was highly dissapointed by how this was handled. With the way the nhs is going I think this is a time for establishments like boots and pharmacy’s to offer even more help and support instead of showing such cold unsupportive mannerisms. This lady should really think about her decorum and behaviour especially if shes working on...
Read moreI just wanted to say thank you to all your team and one of your pharmacists. I’m sorry, but I cannot recall the name of his cause at the time I was in the pharmacy I was in so much stress. Even though he had introduced himself, only thing I remember he looked very smart, was wearing long beard and grey shirts.
At the time I came to your pharmacy, I thought no one in the world will help. For more than a week, I had cold. It’s nothing very serious, but when it’s with you for such a long time, it can be very stressful. However as it’s just a small illness, GP did not help me, someone from Lloyds Pharmacy did not help me too as she/he thought I had lung infection so send me to Walk-In-Centre. Walk-In-Centre did not help me again. Yes, all day long no one helped me. And on top of all I was working. After Walk-In-Centre staff did not help me, I went into tears. And I don’t know. I work so hard, I never sick and this cold happened to me and no one helps me. I felt so down….. I don’t know. I just needed to talk to someone at that moment. So it happened I came to your pharmacy. Asked if I can speak with one of your pharmacist in private. And yes, he took me to consultation room immediately. I told him my little story. And yeah, he calmed me down, gave me some paracetamol and cough relief medicine. And today, I still have cough, but feeling much much better! I can feel this silly cough going away! And I know this is helping me a lot. Thank you so much. You are...
Read moreI regularly shop at this Boots branch, mainly because of its convenient location in the city centre. The store layout is well-organised, and the product selection is generally very good. Under normal circumstances, I would have given a much more positive review.
However, one particular incident has completely affected my overall experience. During my most recent visit, I was at the self-checkout and needed age verification for one of my items. I waited patiently for around five or six minutes, even actively seeking assistance. Eventually, a male staff member came over, but unfortunately, his attitude was shockingly poor.
While helping the customer before me, he angrily slammed down their items, clearly showing visible signs of frustration—though I have no idea what he was frustrated about. When it was finally my turn, he didn’t say a word, brushed past me quite forcefully, tapped his card for verification, and walked away abruptly without making any eye contact or acknowledging me.
This kind of rude and dismissive behaviour is unacceptable, especially in a customer-facing environment. It left me feeling very uncomfortable and unwelcome.
It’s disappointing that such a negative interaction overshadowed what would have otherwise been a smooth and pleasant shopping trip. I sincerely hope the management takes this kind of feedback seriously and addresses the issue—a single poor attitude can drive loyal...
