Ten Traffic Street’s greatest demise is their staff.
The members of their core team (Charlotte and Ashley especially) have the worst attitude i’ve encountered in my 7 years studying in the UK.
In addition to other issues such as continuous wheezing noises from my bathroom interrupting my sleep, loud construction noises and a faulty flush, 10 traffic street has ALSO had several fire alarms (false). There was one particular one that was at 2am and did not turn stop until 4am because the security guard did not know what to do. After which, we were finally allowed back to our rooms but the alarm continued to ring every hour for 15 minutes until 7am. i had ONE hour of sleep that night.
I had Charlotte’s (staff’s) number, so i texted her at one point during this blaring alarm to ask for an explanation as to why their duty staff were completely clueless about any fire alarm protocol. She replied aggressively the next day saying something along the lines of “delete this number… this is not a general enquiries line”. this was not a general enquiry - I wasn't asking for directions, I was expressing my concern.
I was so distressed from the lack of sleep and had a full day of lessons to prepare for. As I left the building to go for class, the alarm went off again briefly. Feeling anxious, I went to reception to politely ask Ashley (staff) if it was going to be fixed soon as i could not afford another sleepless night. He looked up at me with total hostility , apathy and irritation and said “well it’s not ringing anymore is it?” sarcastically.
I was with a friend during this exchange, and she was genuinely appalled at his attitude. I was in shock that after a night of pure chaos, there was no apology, let alone any sympathy from the staff.
My interactions with Ollie (staff) have only been pleasant, but with the other members of their “core” team it has been nothing short of nightmarish. It would really benefit them to understand that when students, particularly international students who are unable to seek refuge anywhere else, approach them with a concern, it is not a personal attack. It is an expression of our genuine worry, given that this place is supposed to be our home away from home and they need to help !
However, since my concerns have been met with aggressive defensiveness from them, I have had to resort to writing this.
10 traffic street has well designed studios as well as a good location. I genuinely enjoyed my studio and the building generally operates smoothly. Sadly, these staff have tainted my experience living here, and i even vacated the premises months before i had to. If you do feel like booking a studio here, this is just something to keep in mind.

Recently, there was a theft in our flat where all our kitchen utensils were stolen (pots, pans, air fryer, toaster etc), . Initially, I was told that they would compensate for the incident. However, that promise was short-lived.
They then conducted a “investigation” which was nothing more than them looking for a scapegoat. As they concluded that the fact that fire door was opened meant that it was somehow our fault , even though we never touched it and had emailed and asked them asking to close it earlier in the year.
IQ also conveniently ignored the possibility that their own staff could be responsible for this security breach as I’ve heard that other people have had the problem of their belongings going missing due to cleaners
To make matters worse, there are no security cameras near our main flat door or by the lift on our floor, leaving us to question the adequacy of their security measures. when I pointed out this issue, they brushed it off as not being legally required
What's truly disappointing is their utter lack of accountability and commitment to their initial promise of compensation. They went back on their words without giving us the tenants a second thought, leaving us frustrated and dissatisfied.

Charlotte is extremely rude - anytime you report a maintenance issue, she gaslights you and makes you think that everything is fine. I have had an ongoing vent issue since December (before that there was no issue) where the vent is extremely loud and is on max mode from 6am - 9.58pm everyday. I can't hear myself think, I can't join uni Teams meetings because the other people won't be able to hear me due to the background vent noise, I can't sleep, I can't study. I reported this numerous times to everyone in the property yet it still hasn't been fixed. Charlotte gaslights people and then says "I am ending this conversation" when she knows she is wrong and doesn't have anything else to say. She was making faces during our conversation and walked off mid-way (extremely rude and unprofessional - where are her morals?). The price we pay for rent is ridiculous - don't expect to stay here and get your moneys worth. If you read other reviews below me you will see that other people have complained about unresolved maintenance issues and about Charlotte specifically. For her age she has no manners! Don't believe any of their replies to their reviews - it's all lies to try and cover things up and make it seem like us tenants are lying or exaggerating.
