I absolutely love this shopping area! It's clean and vibrant, and you wouldn't even guess that there's a recession going on! Unlike many other high streets these days, it's not filled with countless phone stores and 'To Let' boards. The variety of brands available here is simply astonishing, and you could literally furnish your entire house in just one day. From trendy fashion and stunning jewellery to stylish home items and delicious food and drinks, they have it all covered. Oh, and let's not forget about the hotel, casino, and the iconic Spinnaker Tower! I must say, to pick on just one store, Skechers has the most extensive selection I've ever seen in one of their stores. Unusually, but not bad at all, no Primark in sight! It's refreshing that on a hot day, to be in a place like this where I can spend the entire day basking in the sun and enjoying the beautiful view of the boats, then shopping and then going on to have a drink! The dining options are mostly chain-based, but with such a wide range of quality chains, you're bound to find something you love. During my visit, I was pleasantly surprised to see an American yacht docked here, alongside other stunning vessels from around the world. It's incredible how this place is an outlet because it exudes nothing but class and style. In comparison, somewhere like Braintree Freeport definitely has a cheap and tacky vibe. This shopping area easily ranks among our favourite shopping centers in the country. It's a true gem!

An absolute faboulous experience. We picked an extremely good day for it. The whole process of getting to the viewing area went seamlessly. There is a guide in the lift who explained what you are about to experience. Which is wonderful touch. It gets you in the mood. But what you see as the lift opens. Takes your breath away. I do not like heights but the way it was designed did not make you feel uneasy. The exact opposite. I was going from window to window taking lots of photos. There were telescopes with a speaking guide. Going through the sights and its history. This was reasonably priced. I even plucked up the courage to go along the Sky Glass. Again taking photos of 100m down. It was amazing. Even the Sky Garden which I was not too sure about. Was not that bad at all. With the netting overhead it meant you had a breeze blowing. Which gave you the feeling of being in the elements. It was money well spent and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed. Given a rare treat of a stunning sunset. Before we finished by doing a quick look at the shops on Gun Wharf Quays and a bite to eat. We took more photos of the structure outside. It was lit up and showed off the Spinnaker even more. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

I’ve been making day trips to Gunwharf Quays for about 10 years now, I tend to visit every year or two on average. If you’re looking at this debating whether to do a big shopping trip to Gunwharf or Bicester Village then I would say they are two different experiences. This is a bit less high-brow, more for your average person (more affordable) bug that doesn’t mean it’s poor by any means. Just not quite the sane level of high-end stores, which I’m sure is fine for most people… plus it’s by the sea which is a Brucie -Bonus! And to be honest that’s great if you come with kids as I feel there’s more to entertain them and of course a much wider variety of eateries. You’re best bet is to come during mid-week if you can because it can get VERY busy a weekends! You can be queuing for parking for an age so plan your visit carefully, the last thing you want is to waste time sat in the car. I could tell you the best place to park, but I’m afraid I can’t give that little secret up 🤣 The best tip I can give you is either Jake sure you’ve got plenty of room left on your credit card or get saving..!!
