Born and raised in Abilene and was a regular customer growing up. Went to the store with my s/o on 1/12/2023 and had a great experience and purchased some candy , obviously. 1/13/2023 I get a message from my s/o with a picture that Iāve provided, of expired candy. My s/o kept the bag to show me to decide if I would consider the candy expired or not⦠unfortunately it was. As an act of common decency we called their number to just notify them so they can take it off the shelf. My s/o began to let the old-man, who answered the phone, know about the situation and she was responded with absolute disregard and disrespect. The person said āIāll look, but I donāt know what else you want me to do about.ā The old-man responding this way gave us the impression that they do not care that they are selling expired candy to their customers. As someone that works in customer service, that is absolutely an unacceptable response to a customer that was just trying to reach out and notify the place of businessā¦unfortunately will not be returning to this business again.

I normally just ignore the rudeness and donāt normally communicate extra when Iām buying anything, so maybe we just cancel each other out lol. It makes me upset though that he treats people who do care, badly. I would hate for my kid to go in there and be treated bad. I will say though that there is a younger guy who works there and I rarely ever see the older guy since they moved out of the old location in the hallway where Ulta is and the younger guy who I have seen is really cool and him and my husband get a long really well even though Iām quiet because of my anxiety. Now Iām going to pay attention to the older gentleman when I go in and if heās rude Iāll let him know, politely, in front of everyone in the store. Maybe a bit of humility would do him good. Ā Ā Ā Read morethe elderly man who works here needs to be informed on how to treat customers. the way he treats them as of now is unacceptable. as i was trying to pay for what i had gotten he was very aggressive as i was trying to pay. i had asked if he had apple pay and he had told he in a very rude tone that he didnāt take anything except for what he had and pointed at his machine which i didnāt understand. then he pointed to a sticker i didnāt see and it had said apple pay so i was like oh okay. then i asked if i could just pay 5$ with apple pay and then the rest in cash and he said āno you didnāt say that so i didn't set it up for thatā and snatched the machine away to change it. i paid the 5 in apple pay then got the cash out and he started at me and very rudely said āset it down.ā i will not be going back to the chocolate box when the elderly...
