First my door didn’t work correctly it would trip the lock mechanism and we had to reset it every time we opened the door. Secondly when we arrived the room was extremely muggy. The next morning our clothes were damp and the floor was damp. We endured for another day and tried to get maintenance to fix it. No luck. Next day I just so happened to run into the maintenance man and had him come up to the room. He did some stuff to the a/c got better but still not right. That same night I get back to the room and take a shower as I’m exiting the shower the support handle pulls off the wall ( secured with plastic wall anchors, not up to code btw) and I end up slamming on the ground and running my head into the wall. I go downstairs and the lady at the counter was bothered cause I interrupted her phone time on TikTok. I asked for a manager she said he’s not available I asked to file an incident report and she told me it could wait till the morning???? Whaat??? Next day I had to call and ask for a manager since he didn’t fallow up with me. Then they went and took pictures of the broken bar. When I got off work I went back to the hotel and wouldn’t you know it. The freaking broken bar with the screws hanging out was still there. They made not attempt to secure it, fix it or remove it. Nor did they offer to move me rooms. This is such a joke. I will never go back again.

A group of coworkers and I stayed at the Courtyard Dallas Addison/Quorum Dr. for a lengthy work visit. The hotel has great amentities and is located close to restaurants/shopping. What made our stay special was the staff at this location. Front desk, housekeeping, and engineering staff were consistently attentive, helpful, and friendly. While I witnessed all guests being treated this way by staff members, the Courtyard Addison team went above and beyond in making our group feel welcome. One evening, we came back from the office to find that the staff had left each of us a gift basket in our rooms. Additionally, on the morning of the last full day of our stay, an Engineering staff member brought us gourmet donuts to take to the office with us. These unexpected gestures, coupled with the already extraordinary level of care and hospitality the staff provides to its guests, left an impression on me that I won’t forget. Special thanks to the Courtyard Dallas Addison/Quorum Dr staff- shoutout to Clayton, Jeff, and Jojo (engineering staff member who brought the donuts for us); Letty, the staff member who worked at the coffee/breakfast counter (usually working by herself) was also phenomenal. Team DDD loves the Courtyard Addison!!

The check-in went fine, all welcoming - I was staying there for a conference and managed to change room to the first (ground) floor so was nearer the conference facilities.

The room was pretty large, as was the bed - very comfortable, slightly grand yet relaxed appearance. I liked the USB power sockets, both on the bedside cabinets and also over on the desk, meaning I could charge several devices without having to worry about plug adapters. The room lighting was also soft and subtle, meaning I didn't get dazzled when working on a laptop or a glaring reflection when using a tablet.

I found the sink design outside of the bathroom quite convenient - there was more light for shaving by. The bath/shower seemed to be designed with disabled use in mind but the fixed shower head looked very retro and limited in adjustment, with the water supply being controlled by one huge lever - I tried pulling and pushing; it wasn't obvious it simply had to be rotated to get the desired quantity and heat (I dislike these all-in-one controls). Everything was clean and worked as expected.

As the room was on the south side so the sun didn't beat down into it and was a bit cool in the evenings so occasionally after a shower I popped the heating on a few times, a huge blower in the corner that pumped hot or cold air, depending upon the temperature setting - it felt like a large hair-dryer when emerging wet from the bathroom. Being on the ground floor I occasionally caught headlamps from cars parking at the front - the thick curtains did a good job of cutting light out.

The conference facilities themselves were fine, with the projector working and refreshments in the mornings delivered prior to any sessions. There's also printing and internet facilities available from the lobby. However, various requested items never materialised when promised (additional power leads, WiFi credentials, flipchart paper) and it was annoying at having to chase them up. Lunchtimes were well-organised, however other than a breakfast I ate at the nearby restaurants than in the hotel.

For what we wanted, it did the trick - but I can't help feel conference organisation could have run a...

This past Memorial Day was horrible. Front desk clerk Caleb was rude. I recommend you run if you have to deal with him being unprofessional. My room key stopped working so my husband and I stopped by the fron t desk to re-active or cards and we weren't sure what happened and Caleb says no need to get "hostile". We bothed replied "Hostile" like where did that come from. He charged the wrong credit card and act if as he couldn't reverse the transaction. So I gave hime another card for payment. Come to find out he charged my card for everyday we were there. Which is weird. I normally will pay upfront or at the end of my stay. Caleb did absolutley nothing to make this right or apologize for his mishaps. Caleb then states to us, "so you have never been hostile"? My husband replied never. I was so appalled by this line of questions. I was just ready to return to my room. I sat and pondered on this, when I returned to my room. I reached for the General Managers card to report the incident while Caleb gave ever excuse. The next morning I spoke with the New Regional Operations Manager who was very awesome and caring and he had just arrived off the plane, he was here for a meet and greet with the General manager. He took time to hear my husband and I out about the horrible experience that took place this weekend. And he assured us that he will take this up with the General Manager Chris. We waited but had to get on the road to get home to Kansas City. One bad apple can spoil the bunch " Caleb". Chris did reach out to me and was very concerned about our experience. I was hung up on and called back Darlene made my reservation and got my request in the system. I am hopeful of a positive outcome. If not I will definitely calling the corporate office. I have stayed here many times before and never had an issue like this. I love the location and the staff has always been above and beyond...

I'm sure many people will disagree, but I don't think Dallas is all that nice. From the traffic and aggressive driving in small lanes to the industrial architecture and atmosphere, I don't tend to think of Dallas when I think of calm and relaxing business trip of vacation spots. The Courtyard Dallas Addison/Quorum Drive has made me reconsider this position. Their landscaping and outdoor entertainment area is gorgeous. The pool and courtyard are beautiful and even well lit into the nighttime. The décor inside is modern and sleek in the lobby, while the upstairs guest rooms were relaxing and calming: maybe even aquatically themed. Everything was incredibly comfortable and practical, while still being engaging and trendy. My absolute favorite thing about this hotel was The Bistro. I've stayed in other Courtyards by Marriott before but somehow the food and service at this one seemed better. The food was surprisingly fresh, given how it must be worked with in such a small kitchen area, and the food selection gave an amazing variety of healthy options as well as comfort foods for every occasion. I do not drink so I cannot speak to the alcohol selection, but it looked fairly sizable to me, given the size of the restaurant. The only drawback to my stay was the interactions I had between the youth guests staying for a soccer convention. They were relatively loud and disruptive in short bursts while I was doing my daily yoga practice or trying to sleep, but nothing to the point that I felt upset or the need to complain. Overall, I had a wonderful business trip here and would highly recommend the Courtyard Dallas Addison/Quorum Drive to anyone needing to stay...
