Great American Cookies — Local services in Addison

We have been to this location three times and every time has been a terrible experience. The very first experience was the worst, though. Last May I called this location without knowing exactly where it was I just knew it was close and asked if they could make a cookie cake for my moms birthday. I made sure that they knew I'd have to pick it up that evening because we were going out of town for her party. They assured me it would be and asked for my card number but I wouldn't be charged until I picked it up. That evening I went to the website to get the address and clicked "Take Me to this location" by the location that I ordered from and saw that it was at NorthPark Mall. I called the number for the same location and asked if that address was correct and she said yes so I said I was on my way. After driving through traffic and finally getting there and realizing we were at the wrong location we didn't have time to go back to the Quorum location to pick up the cake. I explained that the website had the wrong address and that I had even called to be sure and I didn't have time to drive back and still make it to the party. The owner went crazy on me and threatened to sue me because I had them rush and do a cake when they had other orders they could've been working on and said she was going to charge me double since they had my card info. I ended up hanging up the phone and I was never charged but the owners behavior was absolutely ridiculous! For some reason I decided to go back a couple of weeks ago and the owner was there and I just witnessed her being rude to the other customers but the employee that helped us was great! But I went in today to get some cookies for my kids and I waited for the longest at the counter. I saw the owner and a worker in the back but the worker left so I kept waiting but the owner came to the front and started unboxing cups and napkins and putting them in cabinets and made eye contact with me several times. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe a worker would come up but no one ever did. After two minutes of watching her put things up she went to the back and washed her hands so I thought I would finally get some help and she continued on to break down the boxes she had just unpacked so I just walked out. My friend purchased a cookie cake for an anniversary at this location my son ended up choking from it because they had wax paper/ parchment paper in the whole cookie cake!!! She contacted the owner to ask for refund something to make this right and the owner laughed at her and said she was lying even though she sent proof. She also said it’s ok to eat parchment paper to her that it’s not a big deal even though my kid choked from it and I’ve never heard of anyone knowingly eating parchment paper? I own multiple businesses myself and have NEVER treated a customer in such a way. Wow just wow I was appalled when she told me what happened when she contacted them. I can’t believe the greed of some people. The owner rather keep $40 and laugh at a 5 year old choking than to make things right. She fought my friend screamed at her called her a liar with proof saying it always happens and you can eat wax paper safely?????? WHO EATS WAX PAPER PLEASE LET US KNOW BELOW IF YOU DO BECAUSE IVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. The lady was of Asian decent she wouldn’t disclose her name. Just in case anyone comes into contact with her please respectfully do not engage and be careful of her temper and try your best to stay away from this location. DO NOT come to this location. I ordered a birthday cake two weeks in advance to be picked up @3pm when I arrived at the store @3:15pm they had not even started on my cake yet. The woman working tried to laugh it off saying they had a lot of orders today. She told me she'd do it right then so I sat down to wait. She came back 10 minutes later with the sloppiest cake I've ever seen. The cute balloons you see online were blobs that weren't even filled in all the way with icing. The words were messy & slanted & the white lines connecting the balloons together we're all choppy like she has run out of icing. Needless to say I was EXTREMLEY upset considering the cake totaled up to $35 I will not be taking my business back to that place and...
