If i could give ZERO STARS, I would because the manager (Josh or Jeff) was the rudest and discriminatory person i have ever met. I went in to get some items for work and some personal items for homeschool being that my place of business chose(my coworker and myself) the aiken staples to get all our office supplies; so I did as well. This will be changing because of how i was treated even after I have personally spent hundreds of dollars there and shopped the same way i always have. I always know a general idea if what i want so I find multiple items and then find a place with my basket and sit to go through it all and decide what i need that will all go good together for my home and the manager came over and said "what are you doing" so i told him and he said to get it all up and to needed a buggy so i wasn't in "everyones way," granted, there was hardly anyone in the store. so I did so and tried to figure it all out but he kept coming around and making comments like i wasnt doing it the way he expected. so i then went to look at phone cases to not be so frustrated and was looking for one for an xr (the ones i was looking at did not have the size of the phone it would fit on the box so i asked a worker and SHE opened a few boxes so i could see) i put the opened ones in the buggy bc i was gonna buy one of the ones that she opened and the others as well to give ti the cashier bc they were opened. then i went to look at bags and put a few other items back, so j was holding those things and comparing 2 bags on the bottom two selves and here this guy comes again and stood there with his hands up and said " what exactly are you doing now?" and by the tone of his voice i knew exactly what he was trying to assume...........that was pure discrimination, and i wanted to pull out all the receipts that i had in my purse to show this awful person that i had just been in there lest than a month prior and bought most of the Martha Stewart line and some vera bradley items but I didnt and when he walked away i got up and left due to how upset he made me. I ALWAYS put items i dont buy away but this manager was so awful and should never be allowed to do what he did to me. I noticed I left my phone about five minutes after leaving and I went back told a girl and she said "sure I will go get it from that office"............next thing I know here comes this awful man again and said you left things in a buggy and you need to put it back but we dont have a phone. so i put everything back that was in the buggy and he kept bothering me saying we are closing soon, so if you can do it faster, and I said I am worried about my phone because I have children at home and have ti answer if work calls........he did not care one bit. once i got done i asked another girl his name Nd she refused to give his last name, which i have never heard before but I saw him come out the office and asked for his card(which he never gave me)and he had my phone in his hand. I got it and was walking out and he had a snide remark to not come back if i could not put things in a buggy back..........and I said thats fine, but I went to call my kids and my phone was locked for 30 minutes because someone had been trying ti put in the password multiple times, and what got me was that he said multiple times up till me walking to the front after he had just walked up there not even 1 minute prior. this manager is very very unprofessional. I need to know what solution will be done with this individual. if not, I will return all i bought prior and the office that i am at will not either. i hope there are better people than this man in your company, and I am sure he isnt good to the people that work under him. thank you for your time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI called the Staples at five in the young man that answered the phone gave me the information I needed tell me what to do and told me that they closed at six I got here 15 till I was just printing two sheets of paper Iāve never done it before and when I asked the girl that worked at the counter for assistance she just pointed me at the machine and reminded me that they closed at 6 oāclock well one machine was jammed the other one was rebooting so I had to wait for another man and then I found out they only took credit cards on the machine and I asked if I could pay in cash she said no but you can put an order with me but we close at six and I said OK well if I put the order can you print it up she said you can and get it Tuesday very rude but she was very informative about what time they close! Gas is very high right now Iām a disabled person so this just cost me coming up here even if I wasnāt disabled horrible customer service from her. Bought an office chair and upon check out noted I served in the Air Force and wanted to take advantage of the discount posted on a very large sign out front by the entrance. The response - you need an ID confirming you are or were in the service. I noted I didnāt have one nor was one offered when I separated. I just received separation documents and other paperwork. The cashier told me no ID no discount. So I offered to let her see my South Carolina āveteranā plates on my car out front. I did need documents to qualify for the plates. The cashier told me no ID no discount. Very disappointed in the outcome. I wonder how many veterans struggled with the same problem. Actually more than disappointed that a company such as Staples would employ a sales approach such as this on Veterans Day. Never had this problem with other retail on Veterans Day. Last time I will shop in Staples. Proud...
