An Unforgettable Honeymoon Experience – Thanks to the Amazing White Pass Summit Team!

My wife and I had the pleasure of experiencing the White Pass Summit Excursion during our honeymoon, and we can't stop talking about how incredible it was! Despite it being one of the busiest days, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience truly unforgettable.

Initially, we were a bit disappointed not to find window seats for the scenic ride, as we were really looking forward to those breathtaking views. My wife was quite sad—understandably so—but that's when everything changed. I spoke with a staff member named Brian, and he couldn't have been more understanding or kind. Without hesitation, he found a way to accommodate us in a special cargo car by the window, ensuring we wouldn't miss a single moment of the gorgeous Alaskan scenery.

What really touched us was how the entire team embraced us once they heard we were on our honeymoon. Staff members came by to congratulate us, shared warm smiles, and even gave us a special behind-the-scenes tour. We felt celebrated, welcomed, and genuinely cared for.

The ride itself? Absolutely stunning. From snow-capped peaks to dramatic valleys, the scenery was something out of a movie. And knowing that we were able to enjoy it all because of such thoughtful and accommodating people made it that much more special.

To Brian and the entire crew: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You turned what could have been a disappointing day into one of the most memorable moments of our honeymoon.

I took my handicapped and elderly mom on an Alaskan cruise this past week. We could only afford three excursions, and decided the train ride was something that would work for my mom since they could accommodate a wheelchair. We were excited for the 3-hour scenic tour, and were impressed when they helped us on the train in a car apparently designated for handicapped riders, as there was a couple other elderly people in wheelchairs as well. But then rolled in two families with small toddlers in strollers, who all cried at various times, but one little girl in particular screamed with a screeching cry equal to nails on a blackboard for the entire three hours. We asked to move cars as we'r could see the car in front of us was all adults, but were told we were not allowed to move between cars. I spent most of the time out on the platform between cars to escape the screeching, but my mom couldn't leave her seat. The parents did nothing to stop the baby from crying, and the two different train attendants, who I complained to, also did nothing. My mother was near tears through the entire ride and came off very upset and agitated, saying, "never again". As soon as the ride was over, we reported our experience to the tour company representative at the ticket booth who made a note of it, but offered no compensation. We also reported it to the Celebrity Solstice cruise excursion desk, who only offered to give us a bottle of wine, which we didn't want. White Pass & Yukon Route Train Excursion – Skagway, Alaska

During the first week of October 2024, we visited Skagway, Alaska, as part of a cruise excursion and took the White Pass & Yukon Route Train Ride. Despite the cold and rainy weather, the experience was nothing short of spectacular.

The train cars were warm and dry, providing a cozy retreat from the elements. The huge plate-glass windows offered uninterrupted views of the breathtaking scenery—towering mountains, deep valleys, waterfalls, and the lush, temperate rainforest. The autumn colors added a special touch to the already stunning landscape.

Our train conductor did an excellent job narrating the journey, sharing fascinating historical facts about the Gold Rush era and the engineering marvel of the railway. The ride was both scenic and informative, making for an unforgettable experience.
