1-7-25 Update:
Whatās going on there? The front-end (groceries) is now lousy too. Christmas Eve we bought some horse radish and Arbyās Horsey Sauce for our Prime Rib Christmas dinnerā¦.. the Arbyās sauce had been expired for 6 months (May 2024 something). The horse radish had expired on 12-23-24. Ugh. We served them without double checking⦠the Arbyās sauce was rancid. The good news is, that we brought it back on 12/26 and they refunded us our money. The bad news is that we bought some blueberries, a veggie platter and a bunch of finger food/appetizers on New Years Eve, and the blueberries were moldy the next morning and the veggie platter was out of date also. We brought it back and were hassled about because we didnāt have the receipt. Our rewards number didnāt matter (as proof to verify that we bought it there, and that we spend over $1,000/month at that store). They refused to make it right. Needless to say, we will no longer shop at that location. We moved our pharmacy business about 5 months ago. Now we will move our shopping. What piss poor management and customer service! There is one employee who has stood out and been exceptional over the years..that is Jodi. Otherwise, most of the employees were unremarkable and, as evidenced by our recent visit - rude and not very customer oriented. We have started shopping (using this Pharmacy since July) at the Wyoming/San Antonio location and it is a breath of fresh air compared to this location!
For the past 20 years, we have exclusively bought our groceries (and our medications) from Albertsonās. We lived in Vegas (NV) for 3.5 years and shopped at one. We visit Redlands, CA 4 times a year for 2-3 weeks at a time, and Vegas 3-5 times/year for 1-2 weeks at a time a and ALWAYS but sour provisions/groceries, etc there. Our experience has always been wonderful at those locations.
I hope that someone in upper management is paying attention to this!
6/30/24 Update: What happened? The pharmacy, particularly, has gotten so horrible. Not calling when important prescriptions called in by surgeon to notify, or just plain dropping the ball altogether! After 5 years, still canāt synch my refills! Really? Iām not impressed any longer.
The grocery beside is still ok. But feeling more like Walmart with very few checkers, and a horrible customer service desk employee (manager???).
I guess mediocrity is now not just the norm, but the bar. Never thought.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMost of the time I go shopping and mind my business. The food is fresh and well organized, could find everything I need. The real problem for me comes when I have to get in lane with rude cashiers. All I want is to check out and be treated with respect. Yesterday I bought groceries and some pommegranats, the cashier lady started talking to the baggar, not me how she liked them and had a huge tree of them, and how expensive they were, and on and on but never include me in the conversation. When It was time to pay, I pulled out my ebt and paid for the groceries, there were 3 itmes left, in which 2 of them were rotissere chicken. I wasn't sure if I had enough money in my card to pay for it, so I asked my daughter to take out the chicken to remove it from the list. Than I asked my daughter, "wait do you have $20.00, she nodded no, than I pulled out my debit card and paid, to my relief it went through", than the cashier tell me " You can't pay hot food with ebt" I responded, " I was trying to see if I had sufficeint funds", she replies, " I was trying to tell you". I was so mad, I walked outside and took all my groceries to my car and told my daughter that I was going back inside to talk to the cashier. I went inside and waited in line to talk to her, I said, " excuse me me mam, I wasn't trying to pay the hot food with my food stamps, I was checking if I had sufficient funds in my card, don't be rude! She tells me she's only there to tell people and did not apologize. I kept repeating myself and she still kept saying " I need to tell people". Most people on ebt know that ebt doesn't pay for hot food, I wasn't arguing that fact, and she was rude after the fact she saw me paying with my debit card. To me she needs to learn to be more friendly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been a loyal patron of Albertsons for some time, frequently visiting their deli. However, Iāve become disheartened by my experiences, particularly during the daytime shifts. The twin sisters who work there consistently display unprofessional behavior and seem to handle customer interactions with frustration rather than courtesy. Their attitude leaves much to be desired, and I believe their continued presence together may stem from nepotism, which I find concerning.
What alarmed me the most, and prompted me to write this post, was a recent interaction. I had a simple question, and instead of offering assistance, they quickly expressed their apparent dissatisfaction with their manager, even going so far as to suggest I file a complaint. They gave me her name and personal information without hesitation, which raised serious red flags about their professionalism.
Before this, they were slow to assist me, taking about 10 minutes to move from the deli section to the non-food area and only came at my request after going to the meat counter. . Itās curious to note that evening shifts seem to have more efficient staff, who juggle tasks with more diligence and a better attitude than the daytime crew.
I strongly recommend that Albertsons consider adjusting their schedules, particularly to avoid having these two employees working together. Nepotism should not be a factor in scheduling decisions. Moreover, their willingness to disparage their manager is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the overall work environment.
For the record, I have no issue with the managerāshe was not involved in any of this. My concerns are entirely directed at the behavior of these two...
