The food here is good. The prices on some of the items are a little outlandish, and the menu is pretty small for this type of establishment. I suppose the small menu allows the establishment to really focus on perfecting the dishes that they offer. Steak is definitely the focus here, and other meats, including seafood. The local New Mexican dishes are done in a creative way. I think the real strong point of this place is the atmosphere. The site of the restaurant is a really historic, old-fashioned New Mexico style building, and the decor is pretty interesting. Some of the decor and building infrastructure is a little dingy-looking, but that is to be expected from a building that is probably 100+ years old (at least the place looks that old). The building and some of the doors could probably use a restoration or replacement. I can understand the owners wanting to keep everything original, but the doors next to the table that we sat at were on their last legs and there was daylight showing through the cracks of where the door was connected to the frame of the building. Overall, a good experience. Our waitress was really excellent and remembered the entire order for a party of 8 people without writing it down. She was also really on top of refilling our drinks and checking on us. I ordered the green chile cheese burger which was decent, but definitely not the best item on their menu. The pork chop was really good, and their steaks are also supposed to be good, even though I opted not to do the steak. Definitely recommend trying this place though, especially if you're a connoisseur of steak or traditional New Mexican food, or if you're a fan of old-west/historical New Mexican...

Tried booking a holiday party here with 45 people approximately 3 1/2 months out. I was confirmed by the events coordinator that our party and date was confirmed for my date and that they would send us the menu options and contracts. Over the course of the next 60 days I called and emailed dozens of times leaving messages for managers and the events coordinator. My calls and emails were never returned. Finally 45 days from the party date I was able to speak to the events coordinator. When I spoke to her, she informed me that my date was not reserved, and that there was no way she could help us. When I began to ask why/how this happened the coordinator began to say that they were short staffed, etc. etc. When I asked though why my date wasn’t confirmed after I was assured it was a few months earlier, and that it was too close to get another venue for 45 people around the holidays would be almost impossible, she proceeded to blame her staff even though she was the original person I spoke with. I asked how we could remedy this, she then began to yell at me about how I was wrong for even asking, and she would not let me get a word in. She then got so angry after yelling, that she hung up on me. I called back once again she heard it was me and hung up. Horrible customer service here, and definitely do not recommend. I wanted to give a local business our money but with this kind of service they do not deserve it. I recommend the owner get a new events coordinator, because she will definitely not be attracting business to this restaurant but rather deterring it. A simple apology and responsibility would have sufficed, considering the patrons are paying to keep...

We made reservations for 5 and were seated straight away. Our waiter was friendly but concerned that they were short staffed and there was a wedding party taking priority. We were served miniature wine glasses for our bottle of red wine, a martini was served in a small jar, when we asked for the correct glasses we were told they were being used for the wedding party. We said we would wait until they could get some washed. Ordered salad, never came, split a steak, informed it would be split in the kitchen and we would both have our own plate and sides. Never happened and the server gave a small side plate, had to ask for a dinner plate. Ordered coffee and liquor for after dinner. Coffee was cold by the time the drink arrived. An order of a glass of red, the same as the bottle ordered came but was not the same. When questioned, we were wrong, and at that point we complained about the lack of quality of service and about all the excuses laid upon the fact that they had a large party to take care of, he asked if we had made a reservation, we had, but what difference does that make? Bad management. Short staffed is the norm wherever you go, but to run out of glasses and not be able to deliver what's ordered to your dining room guests and to keep apologizing and blaming the party for everything, made us feel like 3rd class citizens. Manager agreed to cancel our check, but our complete celebration was ruined by the way we were treated. Sorry, we won't...

I had really high expectations about this place; now I have mixed feelings. I was hoping for a menu that offers authentic regional recipes, but I wasn’t surprised at all or even curious about trying something new. Their menu is small, which isn’t a big deal -small menus usually guarantee a better gastronomic experience in my humble opinion-, but doesn’t offer anything that catches your eye or that makes you wonder about textures or flavors (probably it is just me and my high standards, specially after reading such reviews from other customers). Now then, this is why I have mixed feelings about High Noon: I had the pozole which was really tasty, with a spiciness that builds up, but I wish it had more pork - it was a $10 dish, so I guess I cannot ask for much more of what I got-. My friend had the Tres Amigos, and we all agreed that the guacamole is one of the best ones we’ve ever had. Since I’m not a fan of cheese, I didn’t like their queso, but my friends also stated it was like no other queso they have had; the chips are colorful and fresh, and the jalapeño burger that my other friend ordered was great, according to him. Service wasn’t particularly outstanding, and the place has a really nice, friendly, inviting vibe. I am thinking that I’d have to give it a second try and decide what are my real thoughts about it.

Based on great reviews, we decided to give this place a try. Upon entering, you definitely feel like you've been transported to another time & place. We really enjoyed the beautiful decor & ambiance. The front desk gal was very friendly and polite. Our server was very helpful with suggestions for dishes. We ordered a salad, soup, appetizer and a main course to share, and she brought out each dish perfectly timed & prompt. She even took the initiative to have our main course split for us to share. We were very happy with our service. The Cesar salad was authentic and perfectly seasoned. We're kinda snobs when it comes to Cesar salads. It's gotta have anchovies, which their's did, and it was delicious. We split a side salad, which wad perfect for two. The Famous Beef Bites appetizer was so delicious and perfectly tender. The spicy sauce was addicting! The Green Chile Stew was also delicious, spicy and deep with flavor. The chunks of pork were tender and perfect. The Tenderloin was absolutely delicious and divinely tender and went great with truffle mushroom mashed potato enchilada. There were two per order, and our server was kind enough to plate one for us each, as well as split the tenderloin for us. We were so happy that we stopped in for a very enjoyable experience!
