In response to the owner: i tried to speak to a manager onsite and was turned away. I then reached out to the person, Autumn- whose card was given to me as a contact and was ignored, even days later she has not replied to me. But after publicly posting a review you acknowledge the incident. I guess that earns you 1 more star. Ps- You’ve had 5 one star reviews prior to mine.
Hi Autumn,
About a half an hour ago a young woman wearing jeans, a blue tank top, has brown hair in a braid, used her keys to enter sheehan wines through a locked door, so I’m assuming shes an employee. What she did to an elderly woman just minutes before was unbelievably disturbing and disrespectful. The elderly woman was trying to park her car and struggling. Your employee laid on her horn multiple times, clearly in a hurry, but still. She then swerved around her dangerously, with no notice of us in the crosswalk, and parked her vehicle quite aggressively. Got out and was incredibly rude to the old woman who was at that point trying to get out of her car. I walked over the elderly woman who was visibly upset, and apologized on behalf of your employee. The woman was in tears, and on her way a funeral at the church across the street.
I followed the blue tank top/braided hair woman around the corner and watched her enter the winery. I understand completely that you are not responsible for what your employees do off the clock, but if any of my employees did that and then walked into my place of business we would definitely be having a discussion. I was horrified on your behalf, maybe wasted energy, but that employee was beyond out of line and i felt you guys at least needed to know how she's representing...
Read moreToday was my second time visiting this place. I so enjoyed it the first time and meeting the owners mother. This time was NOT VERY NICE. My intention was to buy a bottle of Fiona. But that didn't happen.!!! The server kept reminding myself and my friend that she was the only worker. Then at the time of payment I used my card in the machine. I thought I put a tip in for her even though she complained the whole time. She took the machine from me, looked at my payment and basically yelled at me "DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG TO YOU? OH BECAUSE YOU DIDNT YOU DIDNT GIVE ME A TIP !!!!" She was so LOUD that ALL OF THE CUSTOMERS STOPPED AND LOOKED AT ME!!! (SHE did not know if I didnt have the money on my card, if I didn't have any more money, if I forgot?? I told her if she could help me I can try the machine again. She said "NO WE CANT DO THAT". My friend paid in cash and paid my tip which was the plan the whole time. I paid for the wine tasting and a tip is extra. With her disgusting display, I am glad I didn't pay her a tip!!! Her embarrassing display and rhetoric has made me never want to visit this establishment again.!!! I will continue to go to Noisy Waters where the service is impeccable and neurotic old women don't serve wine. That behavior made me lose my relaxation. NO I DID NOT END UP BUYING THE BOTTLE OF WINE THAT I HAD PLANNED...
Read moreSadly this wine is tasty but that was over shadowed by a short tempered young woman worker at the Sheehan Winery tent during the NM Wine festival Saturday Sept 4, 2021. We patiently waitied in a line 18 deep in the hot noon sun while others in front of us pontificated with the worker for as long as 10 minutes. When we finally got up to her, our questions were answered with a short yes or no, not the 10 minute dog and pony show we watched while waiting in line and we felt rushed through the tasting. We later returned and paid for two $8 glasses of wine ($16) from the same woman who had rushed us through. The folks next to us in the tent had received full glasses of wine, so we thought we'd get the same. Nope, pictured below shows the under pour we received. Once again, someone who is the face of the company was not properly trained. The experience could have been better if the waiting line had a tarp overhead and each customer given 4 minutes time on deck. Also someone directing the lines to the next available tasting rather than being pushed forward like cattle in a stockyard. Honestly, like I said the wine was tasty but I can't say much more due to the limited amount poured in our glasses. (Note, the glasses look larger due to the camera, they are not goblet size...
