UPDATE-FEBRUARY 12, 2025. On Thursday, Feb. 6 I finally received a very kind email from Brittany Batchelor, a Service Manager with DutchCrafters, who had been asked to review our order. She understood and acknowledged our frustration with the April 25th extension of the delivery date and apologized for the poor communication we had experienced. She assured us we would be getting our delivery soon. We would like to thank her for doing EVERY SINGLE THING she told us she would do. Her communication was stellar! Our dining table and chairs arrived on Tuesday, February 11, and is simply gorgeous. We love it!! Also, a HUGE SHOUT-OUT to Adam and Todd that delivered and assembled our table. They were careful and efficient taking the time to explain and show me how to easily remove and add the table leaves and answer all questions I had with kindness and professionalism. Thanks to them, it was a PERFECT delivery. Because we finally got someone to listen, I have revised my rating to a 4-star. Yes, there were a lot of unnecessary bumps along the way, but it was so good to know that the company did eventually make it right and for that we are thankful. I know we are going to enjoy sitting around this beautiful table as a family for many years to come. â¤ď¸ JANUARY 24, 2025 UPDATE: IT GETS WORSEâŚWE RECEIVED AN EMAIL TODAY STATING THE DELIVERY DATE IS MARCH 21, 2025, BUT WHEN WE CLICKED ON THE BOX TO âCHECK THE STATUS OF YOUR ORDERâ, THE DELIVERY DATE WAS APRIL 25, 2025. THIS SAME THING HAPPENED LAST MONTHâŚTHE DELIVERY DATE IN THE EMAIL AND THE ACTUAL STATUS WHEN YOU CLICK ON THE âCHECK THE STATUSâ WAS DIFFERENT BUT IN A FEW DAYS WE GOT ANOTHER EMAIL STATING THE LATER DATE WAS THE ACTUAL NEW DELIVERY DATE. I AM SURE NEXT WEEK WE WILL BE GETTING THE FORMAL NOTIFICATION THAT THE APRIL 25 DATE IS THE NEW DELIVERY DATEâŚTHE PATTERN IS THE SAME. OF COURSE, NO RESPONSE FROM MARIA OR GORDON AND NO RESPONSE TO THIS POST. IF I COULD GIVE THEM ZERO STARS, I WOULD.
ANOTHER UPDATE: IT IS JANUARY 21, 2025 AND IT HAS NOW BEEN 5 DAYS SINCE OUR UPDATE ON OUR DISSATISFACTION WITH THIS COMPANY. NO ONE HAS BOTHERED TO CALL US BACK OR EVEN RESPOND TO THIS POSTâŚSO BUYERS BEWARE!
Jeffrey was great!! Helped with lots of big decisions and moved lots of chairs to help me envision my new dining table and chairs!! Excellent service!!
UPDATE: Not thrilled with this company at this point. Order placed on October 16. Our dining table/chair delivery dates have changed 4 times since the January 30 date we were initially told. Jeffrey, of course, does not work there anymore. My husband has tried to talk with our "very own customer care representative" by the name of Gordon. He does not do what he says he will do and does not return phone calls and has no information that is helpful in any way. Next my husband tried calling the showroom where we bought the table and that is when he found out Jeffrey was no longer working there so he spoke to Maria on January 13 in the showroom and she said she would check into it by notifying the product manager to let them know we were unhappy with the new delivery date and that she would call us back. Of course, she has not. We get lots of generic emails from Dutch Crafters and occasionally emails extending the already crazy long delivery date once again. First it was January 30, then Feb. 7, then March, 7 and now March 21. So, as someone said above, the minute they got the money, the customer service ended. Prove me wrong Dutchcrafters in Alpharetta, GA. Stand behind your product with honesty. If it is really going to be 6 months, tell the customer up front and never say you will call back a customer that you have taken money from and then not do it. We have several pieces of furniture made from Amish craftsman in our home and we love every piece. Beautiful and so well made. I have no doubt that my furniture will be beautiful but this process at Dutchcrafters is just not right...do better by your customers. We hope to hear from...
Read moreI have purchased two custom pieces from DutchCrafters- a dining table that I needed to be a specific size for a nook and a bed that I needed to match my existing bedroom furniture that my husband purchased in the Philippines years ago while stationed there in the Navy. After an exhaustive search for the dining table online, I found the DutchCrafters website. I ordered the table in the exact odd size I needed and had it finished exactly as I wanted. It is beautiful, sturdy and exactly what I wanted. For the bed, I ordered samples online of several different woods and stain colors that I thought would match and was able to select a perfect match for our existing pieces. The bed arrived on Saturday and I am beyond thrilled with it! It matches perfectly! The quality is absolutely incredible- 100% hardwood construction (no engineered wood , no veneers), heavy duty bolt connections and the bed I ordered has dovetailed slats, a feature you absolutely cannot find with other manufactured furniture. The bed and table are both built to stand the test of time. It did take a few months for each piece to arrive but having spent my entire life near an Amish community, I do have an understanding that high quality custom furniture takes time. Customer service was excellent all the way through the process and I received periodic updates on the status of my order. If you are in a hurry and need the item now, take the hit on quality and purchase from a furniture store. If you want quality furniture built by craftsmen made of solid wood that will last you a lifetime, be patient and order from DutchCrafters. You will be...
Read moreA Thanksgiving Miracle, But a Mixed Experience
After a long and challenging journey, Iâm relieved to say that my dining room table and chairs were delivered at 7 PM the night before Thanksgiving. Is the furniture beautiful? Absolutely. Is it exactly what I ordered? Yes, and the craftsmanship is stunning.
However, getting to this point was far from smooth. While I am incredibly grateful for the efforts of those who went above and beyond to ensure the table arrived just in time for Thanksgiving, the experience as a whole was frustrating. The delays, lack of communication, and overall headache left me questioning whether it was all worth it.
The table and chairs were a centerpiece for our holiday, and I appreciate the team who made it happen. That said, I wouldnât go through this process again. As beautiful as the furniture is, the stress and lack of accountability throughout the process mean I wonât be a returning customer and that's ok.
Thank you to the individuals who worked tirelessly to ensure my family had a special Thanksgivingâit meant the world. I hope DutchCrafters can use this feedback to improve their processes and communication...
