This is the place I go for groceries and pizza. It is nice to have it around the corner from my house. The problem I have is that I have been a faithful patron of Publix and Anthony's pizza since they opened more than a few years ago. And while almost all of the employees at Publix could pick me out in a line up. Anthony's pizza cook claims he has never seen me in his store! I have brought quite an appreciable amount of business to their establishment, by way of power lunches and social events after Sunday's sermon and regular weekday outings. Thereby introducing, my friends, casual associates and business associates to their business. And now, the one time I lodge a complaint and believe me I have had a few, but this is the first I have mentioned (only because of the level of aggrevation it caused me). This particular co-owner claims that my complaint is more likely in the nature of free pizza then any possible mistake he or his fellow workers might have made. Now not for nothing but I do not pay attention to designer labels just to have a little peon like him say that I'm looking for free pizza. I have lived in and supported this community for 40+ years and my purpose in returning to the store with a complaint was because of a mistake that was made by the person's who supplied me with a pizza that day, in hopes that the inconvenience it caused in the first place would not occur again. And in my experience with the status quo amongst establishments such as these, I would expect a new, fresh hot pizza and a reasurence that the problem I had in the first place would not be repeated. But the cook- co-owner chose to insult my integrity, character and ultimately my appearence, by saying that my whole motive for the interaction with him was to obtain a free pizza. Anthony's pizza is the work place of a belingerant, narcissistic power hungry, misogynistic pig. The food is a little more than acceptable, but the pizza pushers lack the class of a...
Read moreDo yourself a favor don't rent from them. Our office smells like a animal died and the scent is coming from the ceiling. I didn't realize that is our responsibility. Their property management is located at Waterford Lakes it always takes two or more calls to get them on the phone. Basically the tenant is responsible for everything they don't help with anything. Richard their maintenance guy checked and said there is rat droppings but they arent responsible for locating the animal, we have to call an exterminator. He had been in the ceiling area and asked who left all this stuff up here? We told him you guys replaced the tiles we never go up there. He also was looking around the office and mentioned that the toilet was leaking and we need to fix it.They installed the toilet and replaced the ceiling tiles and now they want us to replace it when they installed it incorrectly. When speaking to the property manager Lynda she tells me I need to fix the toilet issue and I am responsible after signing. She recommends we fix it because " the State of Florida lotto place has deeper pockets if they want to sue you for damages", I was flabbergasted at that comment. I was thinking, that's why we have property insurance to pay for damages that occur. I'm not a plumber or repair person how would I know that the toilet was installed improperly? They also stated that they would provide some type of Covid relief but after calling their leasing agent month after month they just stated sorry no relief available. Also you have to make an appointment with their office if Spectrum has to come out to check your internet line, Spectrum can't come out to inspect the line that is located in the back of the property because Spectrum owes our Landlord money. What does that have to do with my business? We didnt have internet for 2 days because we couldn't reach anyone...
Read moreIt's kind of a stretch to give this place 3 stars, so let's say that my rating is based on comparable-quality buffet restaurants.
I've only been here for breakfast buffets so I can't comment on dinner quality.
Breakfast is inconsistent. I've often seen (or asked myself) customers have to request that WAY too old items be replaced with fresh food.
I recommend arriving home early, before the food is running out and no longer getting replaced, which sometimes happens an hour before the meal change to lunch.
The selection of foods is pretty large, even for a buffet. The lunch foods look good overall. The few I've tried are typical buffet quality.
Let's face it: you go to Golden Corral for quantity over quality. I leave with a satisfyingly over-stuffed belly and skip lunch that day. But don't go late for breakfast (especially on a Monday holiday; usual days for breakfast are Saturday & Sunday). The food will be long gone, not replaced until the manager decides to set up lunch. And expect that any hot starch item (hot cakes, donuts, rolls, etc.) will be hard and gross if not...
