I had been waiting for this place to open after the sad demise of Bubble Island. I had been coming to this location ever since I graduated high school, and was afraid that tradition had died.
However, Quickly has exceeded my expectations. There are other boba places in Ann Arbor, but none of them could quite match the flavors and experiences I had for years at this location. Quickly has the almond flavor down, as almond milk tea was a life long favorite that other places could never get right. I've been running down the extensive list of flavors, trying as many as I can and I haven't outright found anything I have hated as of yet. Everything was delicious.
Furthermore, their drink sizes are much bigger than the offerings at other locations, while keeping the price similar if not outright cheaper. More for less, in other words. This however is not a matter of quantity over quality, as you get the best of both worlds here.
The staff is as friendly as people can be behind a plastic shield, and the fact that some staff know me by name is the type of personal experience I didn't think I'd get again when Bubble Island closed, however Quickly actually seems to not only care about their customers, but also genuinely enjoy their work.
If I have one complaint, it would be that I would love if they were open late. 10pm is kind of early for me, and I do miss coming out between midnight and 2am for a...
Read moreLove coming to get boba tea here! They make the drinks quick. Just a couple things to note: about 50% of the time they will forget any food that’s ordered and we have to remind them. They are VERY cheap on the boba here. The milk tea is double boba and the strawberry is 4 types of bubbles. This is the only place in Ann Arbor that is so cheap on the toppings. I highly suggest you guys reconsider the amount of toppings you put in and try to be competitive with the other tea places in AA. Keep in mind when ordering: when you do less sweet(75%, 50% or 25%) you also lose the flavor. So the people complaining about the drinks tasting like water that’s the issue. I would also suggest when doing less sweet don’t compromise the tea flavor as this seems to be an issue with just Quickly. Again, love coming here, just some suggestions to...
Read moreOk first of all I just realized that Quickly Boba Cafe was Bubble Island. Wow. It’s a bittersweet feeling because although bubble island had a limited menu in my opinion, I loved how late they stayed open. Like until 2 or 3am. But alas! Quickly makes up for it with their flavors and sizes! I’m a big fan of boba and I’ve tried almost every boba store in and outside of downtown A2 so far. Quickly was next on the list, and they didn’t disappoint. Their papaya snow with green apple popping boba was so good. Their, hazelnut, kiwi, and sour plum teas were really good too. I haven’t tried their food yet but I will soon hopefully. Now let’s talk about those cup sizes: their “regular” is actually considered a large at other stores, and their large is HUGE. Just go and try it, you won’t be...
