Ice Skating to me is like if you are a really good skater then $12 is nothing to pay for a few hours of pleasure but if you cant skate worth a dam then $ 12 is way to much. However may rating is not on the services at the skate ring which can use some improvement but on the fact in the last three years i been going to the skate ring the venting machine has either been empty or out-of-order. This poses a problem for the patriots who want some thing to drink or snack on. Their only choice it seems at the moment would be to go to one of the merchant in the mall. Now you are faced with long lines, cutting into your skating time, higher prices and screaming kids i want i want....It just seem to me that this is no coincident that the machines are not working. Dont know if this is a mall prolem or those who manage the skate ring. I would love to hear from either one before i make a decision to take my...
Read moreWent on a skating date here and we had a blast! The ice wasn't crowded and there was plenty of room for us to try and pretend to show off how badly we had no idea what we were doing. The prices were kinda expensive, but the experience of ice skating is worth it. It's a bit hard to skate for a while with weak ankles and flatter feet that have low arches, so if you have one or both of these traits, just take my advice and listen to your body before you get a ton of blisters from skating too long in the stiff ice skates.
The rink has some lovely stands for the skaters to take a break to sit and rest if they feel like it. Viewers can also grab a seat on both the first and second floors to watch the casual skaters, games, and other events on the ice.
I can't wait to come back after I am stronger for a better...
Read moreNot the safest or the cleanest… not nearly as nice as the Dallas Starcenter in Mansfield… but it’s close and cheap so we go there sometimes. Today, we had family visiting from out of town, including a 4-year-old who was very excited to try skating! His mom had a recent shoulder injury so she couldn’t help… no biggie! He could just use a plastic bucket, right? I mean, they have them at the rink - we see kids using them often! Well, NO… you can only borrow a plastic bucket to help balance you for your first time on the ice if you’re taking a lesson. So you can literally look at other kids the same age having it while your kid can’t, because it’s not in a lesson. How stupid! Starcenter let’s anyone use the buckets any time necessary. This is probably why they get so much more business! I don’t want to spend any...
