Kokee Tea — Restaurant in Arlington

ordered a taro freeze with a hint of brown sugar, not knowing that were going to pump so much syrup in it that I couldn't even taste anything else. It was supposed to be blended and as I was leaving the store I noticed it was all sitting at the bottom.

I tried to mix it, but it was just too much and extremely sweet. I walked back in to see if they could please help me with the drink and the person who rang me up flat out didn't talk to me about it, she rolled her eyes & just told the other employee they couldn't help with remaking my boba, amending it, or even refunding me. There was no attempt to help me at all.

This was my first time here & honestly didn't want to leave a bad review on the Google page as this was my first experience, but honestly I would recommend taking your business elsewhere if you're actually wanting a boba made to keep you coming...

Every time I go here, the drinks taste like they are ridiculously over saturated with sugar. I either order some or no sugar but the drink still tastes sweeter than it should. Out of all the boba places I have tried in Arlington, I'm pretty sure that this place puts the most sugar and it's drinks with reckless abandon and it's just not my thing. The only time I remember my drink being enjoyable was the drink I ordered during their opening week, every time after that has been underwhelming and disappointing. Their selection is quite limited too when compared to other boba tea stores.

We ordered 4 different drinks and agreed that the milk tea overall is bland; tea flavor is subtle. The honey milk tea tasted watered down and you can’t taste the tea. The milk was mild and watery too. I’m not even sure if real honey is used as I tasted sugar and not the rich honey flavor. The crystal boba consistency was correct but left a dry weird feeling in my mouth. I also had a stomach ache after drinking it. I’ve been to many boba cafes and will not be giving my business here again. People were nice and friendly. Counter tops...
