This is an alright place to go shootin'. They offer rentals but only if you come in a group or bring your own firearm. (It's a safety thing) They also sell reloads and some factory ammo at the counter. I paid about 20$ for the lane without a time limit. The range itself is nice and relatively clean. I would say that the trays they have for placing your gun on during ceasefire are shaped kind of weird and made it awkward to set down a larger pistol. They don't have a yard counter on their target wire so you kind of have to eyeball the distance you want your target to be at. There were lines painted on the floor to help with that, however it would be nice to see the range update their shooting lanes by including the ability to set a distance to send the target to. I'm from Texas so admittedly I may have been spoiled in this regard previously. I would say that the range staff is quite friendly from the interactions I had with them. I did come here specifically because of the reviews for the range staff as staff can make or break a range. Unlike other ranges in the area here you won't feel discrimination based on skin color which is mandatory for me to spend my money anywhere. Overall this is a decent spot to come to shoot if you are flying/traveling to Los Angeles. I know there are other spots closer to downtown and the airport but if you compare reviews the staff here makes the drive worth it! Overall it gets 4 stars from me because it would be nice to see some of the range equipment modernized. Even if they don't I would still be willing to make the trip every time I...
Read moreMy recent experience with this range and it's polices SUCKED big time. First of all I couldn't shoot my lead round nose reloads. They made me purchase theirs and I only shot 50 because I was anxious to try my new sights on my Kimber .45 ACP 1911. Then I asked them why no lead and they gave me some lame reason. As far as air born lead there is more in a PRIMER than the lead bullet as explained to me by a very experienced gun and weapons expert of many years who just happens to Manage a very reptuable store that sells firearms and was also in the reloading field for 10 years prior. THEN…..they gave me a roll of tape and a piece of card board to TAPE my Large targets too…..there wasn't another single person at the range putting out their targets in that way…..just me. WTF? Well 20 mins later I walked out and will not only Never return there but will pass the word along as I'm doing here. I currently belong to the Firing Line in Huntington Beach and they crew there are awesome and it's 50 dollars a year cheeper for a membership. On a scale of 1-10 Ten being the best I say that they can kiss my a**. They need to do their HOMEWORK on this lead thing but I feel it was about the money. Come and join me at the Firing Line…..and don't forget to bring your...
Read moreI’ve been visiting this shooting range since I was 18, and now at 35, I've transitioned from my army career to completing my college degree. My experiences here have consistently been positive.
The staff is incredibly attentive, checking in every 5 to 15 minutes to assist shooters, and they demonstrate remarkable patience. The range feels safe, with minimal flagging incidents, and there’s always a welcoming atmosphere filled with smiles.
While it can get busy at times, the wait to access the range is usually quite reasonable. I’ve never had any issues with my equipment, whether it’s my assault bag or rifle bag. The staff politely ask to check my gear to ensure safety, which I fully appreciate. They are vigilant about not allowing high-powered ammunition, contributing to a secure environment.
The shotgun reloads they provide are excellent, and I have no complaints about their .223 ammo either. I genuinely enjoy experimenting with various firearms here, and I look forward to continuing my visits for many years to come!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great...
