Five Below — Attraction in Asheboro

As far as the store in general, everything was pretty much in order. There were some items that were on the floor or out of place, but it wasn’t terrible. They have a good selection at a great price. The kids love to go here. The reason I am doing a three star review instead of higher review is when I went to check out the employee rang my items up at the self check out and then ask for my card then he said give him just a few minutes and he’s blocked me so I could not see what he was doing. When he stepped away. I realized he was doing a review without asking me and giving himself a five star review. I did not appreciate this at all! If he would have asked, I would’ve been more than happy to review of the service I was receiving, but for him to actually hide with my card and not ask me was very dishonest and unprofessional. I hope this is addressed by the manager of the store! I can assure you if I go back into the store, it will not...

trying to understand why I got kicked out of the mall. Was it because I’m a teenager and that it was intimidating for a group of teens to come into a store (5 below)? Or was it because I’m black? Maybe it’s a mix of both. I was just running errands for my mom with my friends, and suddenly I’m banned for a day “from the entire mall premises” without any explanation. The only thing I was told was that they didn’t have to give a reason which I think is unlikely looking on the website I can only be kicked out for suspicious behavior and I was given no warning or explanation to what was at my fault. It feels like there’s some bias or racism happening here I don’t want to be the guy that makes it about race but that’s how it seems and I think security needs to address this...

I'm so happy they rearranged this store. It is so much easier to find things now that they've kind of grouped them a little bit closer to the door. The things that you are most likely to look for. It's taking a little getting used to the only thing that I think that would be awesome from five and below is now that they've redone like sorting of the shelves and everything is maybe doing something for the floor to like direct you to.
