Bender Gallery — Attraction in Asheville

Clearly didn't portray myself as rich enough to be inside the showroom. No greeting. Caught them staring with daggers in their eyes several times. Not going into debt to buy this particular art I suppose.

After Owner Response- To then try to discredit my experience with a "You weren't here for very long, only 5 minutes", after reading that we did not feel welcome. This is also simply incorrect. Perhaps since the team was so busy to say 'Hello', their ability to keep time was also...

Went in with our kid in a stroller. Apparently the owner doesn’t allow strollers in his shop. Must get a ton of business to turn away people with kids. The good thing is we were able to walk through every single gallery in Asheville (with equal price points) with our stroller and no one had any issues. In fact we were greeted with friendly smiles. It looks as if the reviews on this gentleman who owns this establishment are pretty consistent and accurate related to his demeanor...

An amazing gallery....stand out amongst the many galleries we visited during our time in Asheville. It was well laid out with some wonderful work by the artists represented. The owners were very knowledgeable (and very friendly...so am surprised by some of the other comments); I can speak to their knowledge as my wife used to work at a glass sculpture gallery, knows many artists in this field personally, and currently works as a museum docent...she was very impressed...
